Going to work in the dark! Coming home in the dark! It is time of year to have those headlights at their brightest. Here are 3 reasons why you should get headlights to peak performance.

1) Safety - on many cars the turn signals are located inside the headlights, if your lenses are cloudy it is difficult or impossible for other drivers to see you signal.

2) Safety- if you are like me I do every thing I can to be seen by other drivers including driving with my headlights on during the day. In bright sunlight cloudy headlights don’t look like they are on, making you harder to see.

3) Safety- the most obvious benefit is increased light on the road so you can see while driving while driving in low light conditions like rain or night time. Many people just use their high beams to try and compensate, but it’s not effective. High beams are aimed higher so they don’t hit the road close to your car and they are in the eyes of oncoming traffic. If your lights are so bad that other drivers are not flashing lights at you then you really need more light so you can see!

You may say “my car is old I don’t really care about its appearance” but you don’t want to be in an accident that you could have avoided!
