And just like that, the last load of cars has officially headed to the scrap yard.

Cleanup took a little longer this year because a few of the cars had to be dug back out after being buried by the D8 dozer during the fire.

As always, the site has been cleaned up until the job was finished.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. Until next year!

Take a look at where this year's Glacier View Car Launch visitors came from!

What started as a small Alaska tradition has grown into something that brings people together from across the United States and around the world.

Every year we're amazed by how far people travel to spend the Fourth of July with us. Whether you drove down the road, crossed the country, or crossed an ocean, thank you for being part of it.

We're honored that so many of you chose to spend your holiday with us.

Every year on July 5th, the cleanup begins.

Yes, we remove the cars.

Yes, we pick up the debris.

The cars fly on the Fourth. The cleanup happens on the Fifth. Just like it does every year.

As always, we are humbled by the fact that you all keep showing up.

Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Glacier View Car Launch. Thank you for your patience, your patriotic spirit, your kindness to one another, and for helping make this event what it is. Seeing thousands of smiling faces gathered together to celebrate is something we never take for granted.

A special shoutout to Dustin and Dan, who somehow manage to launch cars and put out fires in record time. Shoutout to Tony and Casey, the other half of the launch team, who put in countless hours behind the scenes to make this event happen.

Shoutout to Arnie for keeping the crowd entertained, informed, and under control all day. No easy feat with a crowd this size.

Shoutout to our incredible work crew who spend countless hours setting up, cleaning up, parking cars, handling camping, directing traffic, and tackling all the jobs nobody sees.

Shoutout to the pyrotechnics team for helping make the day even more memorable.

Most of all, thank you to every person who attended. Thank you for traveling from near and far, for being patient, for helping each other out, and for still being smiling at the end of a very long day.
