As a contractor working on the interstate, your first concern should be the safety of your employees and the general public—not cutting corners to save a few minutes by driving a skid steer down the center of I-79 in a congested, single-lane bridge construction zone just to get it to the other side. Cutting corners to save time or money is never worth the cost of someone’s safety. You can replace equipment, repair damage, and make back lost money—but you can never undo a tragedy. Do it right, or don’t do it at all.
