It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our founder, Mr. Thomas “Tom” Wilton Ward, Sr.
Tom founded Dixie of Sunbury in 1976, and while we were looking forward to celebrating our upcoming 50-year anniversary later this year, we are now mourning the loss of the man who made it all possible. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to serving our community, Tom built more than a business — he built a legacy.
He leaves behind three generations of Ward men who will continue carrying on that legacy and striving to make Dixie the success he always envisioned.
We are deeply grateful for the many years of business, friendships, loyalty, and support from our customers and community. During this difficult time, we ask that you please keep the Ward family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this tremendous loss.
