Wondering if you need to service your brakes?
These are 3 signs that you need to look for! π
1) High-Pitched Squealing: A loud, metallic screeching noise when you press the brake pedal indicates the built-in wear indicators are touching the rotor, signaling the pads are dangerously thin.
2) Harsh Grinding Sounds: A harsh, metallic growl means your brake pads have worn away entirely. The bare metal backing plate is now scraping directly against the rotor, which requires immediate replacement of both parts.
3) Spongy Pedal or Longer Stopping: If your brake pedal sinks easily almost to the floor when you press it or it takes much longer to stop your car, your pads may be severely worn, or you could have a brake fluid leak.
