Replaced the carburetor on this craftsman, that was the last of the repairs it needed. I need to pull and lubricate the deck but it will be ready to go to a new home in the spring.

This one was getting thrown away - after a new starter solenoid and some wiring repairs its running great. Once a deck is sourced it will be for sale with bagger.

Log splitter is back up and running after mice chewed the kill wire for the coil. Also replaced the recoil.

Repaired this Honda Generator, engine stop switch was shorted to ground and fixed receptacle.

Unfortunately not everything can be fixed, even if welded this deck wouldn't have good integrity and probably would warp...

Unfortunately not everything can be fixed, even if welded this deck wouldn't have good integrity and probably would warp so much that the spindle would need to be shimmed.

Customer opted for a new deck, installed and will be headed home after the rest of the seasonal tune up parts arrive.

If you're thinking of letting the dealer talk you into handing over some more money for an EFI snowthrower think a little longer.

Lots of folks assume that EFI doesn't suffer from the same ethanol fuel issues that carburetors do, and in larger engines, most motorcycles and even ATVs that is certainly true. In these Ariens snow throwers they need to rethink the design because several months of sitting let's the fuel turn to shellac in the fuel pump. Also these pumps are not in stock at any warehouse in the USA and there is no information on when they will be. Aftermarket are available online, but who knows how reliable those will be.

Fortunately I found an OEM pump for this customer and they'll have their machine back before snow falls. If you are looking for fuel stations that have ethanol free fuel in the Keene area Sunoco is the only one, but its worth the trip.
