He started building hot shoes because his two boys wanted to race flat track at the local track. At the time, he was a young dad with a lot of energy but not a lot of money. So he decided to try building his own hotshoes for the boys. Others at the track found out he was making his own, and asked if he would build them a steel shoe too. Fast forward 22 years.......Lightshoe brand steel shoes are custom built of the highest quality materials available, crafted to fit your boot and your riding style. Gary has built thousands of hot shoes for flat track racers all over the world. Trust your “SOLE” to Lightshoe! The team at Lightshoe will work hard to give you a product that will fill your unique needs. Gary’s experience as a machinist and welder has served him well, with the ability to provide riders with an uncompromising fit to their race boot as well as a hardsurface finish that is designed for performance. 🏁 The final race of the year is this Saturday, and it’s a double points race! Join us for the SVCC Short Track Bike Race and help us close out the season in style.

Gates open at 1:00 PM.
Sign-up runs from 1:30–3:30
Pit meeting at 4:00
Practice at 4:15
Heat races starting at 5:00. Mains will follow.

After almost 30 years we still make improvements on the best steel shoe we can build! Sometimes it’s clearly visible, other times it’s only improving the building process.
