ISO A SR ACCOUNTANT/CONTROLLER

Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptionally accurate, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant / Controller to oversee and execute all financial operations for our multi-divisional organization. Reporting directly to ownership, you will manage the complete accounting cycle, ensuring all financial records and reporting duties are executed up to financial statements ready for audit control.
The ideal candidate possesses deep experience handling the unique accounting structures of Project Management, Manufacturing, Service, and Sales divisions. Strong ERP experience is a baseline requirement, with specific experience in Acumatica being a highly valued plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Oversight & Reporting: Execute the full accounting cycle, preparing comprehensive, accurate, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ready for external audit.
• Multi-Divisional Accounting: Manage, reconcile, and optimize accounting processes across four distinct business units: Project Management (job costing), Manufacturing (inventory/COGS), Service, and Sales.
• Compliance & Filings: Manage and execute all corporate compliance filings, including sales tax across applicable jurisdictions, payroll administration, 401(k) plan management, and state and federal compliance filings.
• ERP & Technology Optimization: Utilize and maintain our core ERP system to ensure clean data integrity; leverage Acumatica (if applicable) and advanced Excel modeling to optimize financial workflows.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide ownership with accurate, data-driven financial insights, variance analyses, and cash flow projections to support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally operating as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Controller in a multi-divisional environment.
• Divisional Expertise: Demonstrated background in handling job costing, manufacturing inventory, service-cycle billing, and sales-revenue recognition.
• Technical Skills:
• Solid, hands-on experience with robust ERP systems (experience with Acumatica is highly preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas) and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Compliance Proficiency: Proven experience accurately managing payroll cycles, sales tax reporting, 401(k) oversight, and standard state/federal business compliance filings.
• Attributes: High level of autonomy, zero-error mindset, absolute integrity, and excellent communication skills when collaborating directly with business owners.
