What’s in the shop at Xcel Service & Repair this week? 👀

A little bit of fabrication, a little bit of install work, and a whole lot of making things fit the way they’re supposed to. 🔧

These projects don’t happen with “close enough” measurements. It takes planning, patience, and attention to detail to get everything lined up clean and working right.

Meanwhile, the rest of the shop has been staying busy keeping vehicles repaired, maintained, and back on the road where they belong. 🚘

Today we’re celebrating 13 years of serving our community, and we couldn’t have done it without our customers, family, friends, and the amazing team that has been part of this journey.

From day one to year thirteen, every vehicle trusted to us, every conversation, and every relationship built has helped make Xcel what it is today.

We’re also thankful for the four-legged crew members who have become part of the shop family along the way. 🐾

Loose Gas Cap = Check Engine Light

Before assuming the worst when that check engine light comes on, check your gas cap first. 👀⛽

Sometimes the problem isn’t major, even a loose gas cap can trigger a warning light.

A quick click at the pump could save you some stress (and maybe a trip down the Google rabbit hole trying to diagnose it yourself 😅).

🔧 What’s In The Shop This Week 💤🐾

The shop is busy this week… you just wouldn’t know it from these photos. 😂

🐶 Rocky is in his bed in the office, wrapped up and fully committed to nap duty.

🐱 Smalls is in his basket doing what he does best — absolutely nothing at full effort. 😴

The techs are actually out in the shop working… they just have an amazing ability to disappear the second the camera comes out. 📸😂

So while the crew keeps the maintenance, oil services, and repairs moving, Rocky and Smalls are handling quality control from their sleeping stations.

Business as usual around here. 🐾🔧

That little filter does a big job.

Your oil filter helps trap dirt, metal particles, and contaminants before they circulate through your engine. A clean filter means cleaner oil and better protection for the parts that keep your vehicle running.

A few things a healthy oil filter helps with:

✅ Protecting engine components
✅ Maintaining proper oil flow
✅ Extending engine life

Skipping oil filter changes can leave dirty oil circulating through the system.

🚗 Pay Attention to Steering Feel

Your steering wheel can tell you a lot about your vehicle.

If the steering feels:
• Loose
• Extra stiff
• Shaky or vibrating
• Pulling to one side

…there’s a good chance something isn’t right.

💡 Pro Tip:
Early signs of suspension, tire, or alignment problems usually show up in the steering wheel first. Catching it early can help prevent uneven tire wear and more expensive repairs later on.

🔧 If your vehicle just doesn’t feel like it normally does, it’s worth getting it checked out before the issue gets worse.

A little bit of everything today…

Smalls has been promoted to Tire Inspector 🐾… and he takes his job very seriously.

Today’s tip:
Give your tires a quick visual check 👀

Look for uneven wear across the tread
Check for cracking or dry rot on the sidewall
Make sure your tread depth isn’t getting too low

Your tires will usually tell you something’s off...... just maybe not as clearly as Smalls 😼
