Quick question: when was the last time anyone really looked at the bottom of your boat?

If you can’t remember, you’re in good company. Most owners don’t think about it until something goes wrong. A fall haul-out is the easiest time to catch worn bottom paint, damaged running gear, or small hull issues while they’re still simple fixes, and before they turn into a spring surprise.

The same goes for your engine. Unusual vibration, overheating, hard starting, or a drop in power are your boat’s way of asking for attention, and an early look almost always costs less than waiting.

Here’s what we can do for you this fall:

Haul-out and inspection, up to 35 tons
Bottom paint and hull care
Engine service, repair, and re-power
Battery, bilge, and electrical checks

Our schedule fills up as the weather cools, so the best time to get your boat on the calendar is now.

Call 209-334-2127 or send us a message, and we’ll find a time that works for you.

There's a lot riding on a haul-out, and most boat owners would rather not be the one holding their breath while it happens.

That's the idea behind how we do it. Our travel lift handles boats up to 35 tons, so whether you've got a weekend cruiser or something much bigger, it gets lifted, moved, and set down with care. You can step back, grab a coffee, and let us take it from there.

Fall is a smart time to do it. Out of the water, we can look at the hull, handle bottom paint, check the running gear, and take care of repairs while there's still room on the schedule, instead of fighting the spring rush.

If a haul-out has been on your list, let's put a date on it.

Here's a little secret about boat maintenance: it doesn't have to be a big, stressful thing.

Most of the time it's a quick look at the battery, a check on the cooling system, and a conversation about what your boat might need next. That's it. No pressure, no long to-do list, just a simple plan so your boat is ready whenever you are.

With this stretch of warm weather finally easing up toward the weekend, it's a nice time to get that out of the way. Then you can get back to the good part, sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the water.

Whenever you're ready, we're here.

Not sure what your boat needs before the season slows down? We put it all in one place.

Our new fall maintenance checklist walks through 10 things worth doing now: engine and fuel care, battery checks, hull and bottom paint, bilge and safety gear, and how to plan storage. Quick to read, easy to save, and a good way to catch small problems before they turn into bigger ones.

Give it a read, then tell us in the comments which item on the list you tend to skip.

Save this one for later. These are the checks we'd run through ourselves if your boat were sitting at our dock.

Here's the thinking behind a few of them. The heat this week is hardest on the parts you can't see: the impeller, hoses, belts, and battery. Rubber dries out, batteries lose strength, and cooling systems work overtime. A quick look now catches the small stuff before it turns into a tow back to the ramp.

The lights tip is one people forget. Sunset is arriving a little earlier every week, so a trip that used to end in daylight can end after dark. Testing your navigation lights takes two minutes and makes those evening runs a lot safer.

And the last one matters more than it sounds. Once the weather cools off, everyone remembers their boat at the same time. Booking haul-out, bottom paint, or an inspection early means you get a spot, and no one is rushing your job.

Which one on the list is the one you always put off? Tell us in the comments, we promise not to judge.

Need a hand with any of it? Call us at 209-334-2127.

Fall is here, and it's one of the most important times of year to have your boat serviced, even if you're not planning to use it much over the next few months.

Here's why it matters right now:

Catching small issues early. Cooler weather can reveal problems that summer heat masked, worn hoses, weakening batteries, hairline cracks in fiberglass. Catching these now is far easier (and cheaper) than dealing with them later.

Protecting your investment through the off-season. Whether you're storing your boat or still getting out on the water occasionally, proper bottom paint, gel coat care, and engine maintenance now protect your boat's condition for months to come.

Avoiding the spring rush. Every year, boat owners wait until the weather warms up to think about service, and every year, shops get slammed. Getting ahead of it now means your boat is ready to go the moment the season turns, no waiting in line.

Fewer surprises, more peace of mind. A boat that's properly serviced heading into fall is a boat you can trust when you do want to get out on the water, whether that's a quiet November afternoon or your first trip back in spring.

Our team handles everything from haul-outs and re-power to bottom paint, fiberglass repair, and custom fabrication, all in one place, so you're not chasing down five different shops for five different jobs.

If it's been a while since your last service, now is the time.

There's a version of this fall where your boat situation looks completely different than it does right now. Maybe that means finally selling the one that's been sitting more than it's been used. Maybe it means upgrading to something that actually fits how you use the water these days. Maybe it's buying your first boat after years of talking about it.

Whatever that version looks like for you, it usually starts the same way: one honest conversation with someone who actually knows the market.

That's what Mik Maguire does. No pressure, no sales pitch, just real guidance so you can make a move you feel good about.

If it's been on your mind, this is your sign to finally ask the question out loud.

There's a certain kind of quiet that comes with the first day of fall. The marinas aren't as crowded, the water settles a little, and the trips out feel less rushed than they did back in July.

Some of our favorite conversations happen this time of year, customers dropping by not because something's broken, but just to talk boats, plan for next season, or ask what they should be thinking about before things really cool down. There's less urgency to it, and honestly, that's kind of nice.

So if you find yourself with a little extra time these next few weeks, come say hi. We're always around, and we always like the company.
