FIVE TRACK CHAMPIONS CROWNED IN FINALE AT STOCKTON’S DELTA SPEEDWAY

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (October 5, 2026) – Champions were crowned for both the 2026 Delta Speedway and King of California seasons in a busy night in Stockton on Saturday night, with nearly 90 competitors in action on the 1/7th mile dirt track. Stockton’s Nikko Panella swept the Non-Wing and Super 600 features for the third consecutive night to wrap up a championship sweep in both classes. Photos by Bob Messer

TK O’Brien led Non-Wing qualifying while heat races were won by Jeffrey Pahule, Panella, and Cameron Paul. Fresno’s Colton Key dominated the 30-lap feature while Panella chipped away at the field from fifth on the grid. A caution with three laps to go set up a shootout between Panella and Key. Panella used the low side to sneak underneath Key on the backstretch on the final lap. Panella led just the final set of corners for victory followed by Key, Brody Rubio, Jarrett Heimlich, and O’Brien.

On the winged Super 600 side, Panella cruised from the outside front row to a comfortable victory in the 25-lap affair. Polesitter Logan Trevino finished second while fast-time qualifier Alex Panella finished third. Fresno’s Raio Salmon and Arizona’s Jaxon Porter rounded out the top-five. Nikko Panella also won the heat race.

Another strong A-Class field competed with 25 entries on hand. Cruz Farrell was the quickest in time trials while Danika Jo Faccinto, Alex Ranuio, and Dash Duinkerken won the heat races. Jackson Tardiff prevailed in the B-Main. Cody Key started on the pole position in the 25-lap feature and would not be denied, topping Lucas Mauldin of Rancho Murieta for the win. TK O’Brien finished third ahead of Duinkerken and Wade Boertje. O’Brien wrapped up the A-Class Delta Speedway championship with the third place finish.

Restricted attracted a similarly impressive crowd of 24 young racers in action. Jaxson Evett was the quickest in qualifying. Camryn Blackshere, Cash Brooks, and Haven Sherman led heat race action. Tatum Kriegel then scored in the B-Main.

The 25-lap feature saw Miles Boertje hound the back bumper of Cash Brooks throughout the first half of the feature. Boertje then pounced on the inside on the backstretch to nab the lead with 11 laps remaining. Boertje topped Tyce Domingos, Charlotte Martella, Brooks, and Maya Maudlin at the checkered flag. Mauldin claimed Delta Speedway’s Restricted track championship honors.

Lee Uzzell, the incoming King of California Jr. Sprints points leader, soared to victory in a 20-lap feature. Uzzell won both of the heat races before the main event as well. Uzzell started fourth but immediately charged into the lead by lap five. Jayden Carey of Ripon finished second ahead of Lucas Fenn and Logan Fenn, both of Oakley, with Dylan Smith in fifth. Lucas Fenn earned the 2026 Delta Speedway Jr. Sprints track championship.

Delta Speedway in Stockton has one exciting weekend of Micro Sprint racing remaining with Turkey Bowl XXVII on tap October 23-24. In addition to all five divisions of Micro Sprints competing, the Bay Cities Racing Association Midgets will be competing across the two days of action.

CHAMPIONSHIPS ON THE LINE THIS SATURDAY AT DELTA SPEEDWAY IN STOCKTON

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (September 30, 2026) – Stockton’s Delta Speedway closes its 40th championship points paying season of dirt track racing on Saturday night, with titles to be decided in five divisions. Super 600, Non-Wing, A-Class, Restricted, and Jr. Sprints complete their season long battles at the 1/7th mile dirt track at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds. Photo by Denise Dell Photography

The drivers meeting is set for 4:30pm with hot laps to follow. Spectator gates open at 5pm. General Admission tickets are just $10 for adults while juniors ages 6-12, seniors, and military are $5, and kids 5 & under are FREE! Pit passes are $25.

Fans who cannot attend the action in person can view flag-to-flag coverage on Fast Four Media, the speedway’s 2026 Pay-Per-View partner.

Saturday’s race also serves as the final round for the 2026 King of California.

Stockton’s Nikko Panella is just one more night of racing away from another sweep of the Wing and Non-Wing competition at his home track, leading both championships by a comfortable margin. His complete sweep of the features during the Dual at Delta cemented his position for one of the best seasons in track history.

In the winged Super 600 action, Panella’s advantage is 31 markers over Madera’s Logan Trevino. Raio Salmon has remained within reach throughout the year, 34 points out of the lead in third. Alex Panella and Jeffrey Rosas round out the top-five heading into Saturday’s curtain closer.

The Non-Wing lead for Nikko Panella is an outstanding 44 points ahead of Manteca’s TK O’Brien. Brody Rubio of Manteca is third followed by Ty Carlson and Briggs Davis. Non-Wing also races for 30-laps on Saturday.

O’Brien leads the stock A-Class, however, despite no feature wins this year. Tracy’s Levi Osborne has scored twice and is just seven points out of the lead. Cole Freircihs, Jason Maples, and Colin Kirby make up the balance of the top-five ahead of a 25-lap feature.

Both the A-Class and Restricted are expected to attract super-sized fields with the King of California competitors joining the excitement. Maya Mauldin of Rancho Murieta is in position to close out the 2026 Restricted championship, leading Bryson Sozinho of Hanford by 41 points. Cash Brooks of Galt has had a brilliant rookie season from third in the standings followed by Haven Sherman of Citrus Heights and Kevin Tikkanen and Kingsburg. Restricted also races in a 25-lap contest.

Lucas Fenn of Oakley leads Petaluma’s Santino Gonella by 15 points heading into the Jr. Sprints finale. Logan Fenn is third in the standings with a 20-lap feature on offer.

Jaxon Porter in Super 600, TK O’Brien in Non-Wing, Dash Duinkerken in A-Class, Miles Boertje in Restricted, and Lee Uzzell in Jr. Sprints lead the King of California standings as well.

Track prep is already underway for flat track motorcycles at Delta Speedway! The motorcycles return to the Delta dirt for the second time this season on Saturday, September 12. Pit gates open at noon, with spectator gates opening and practice starting at 4:30. Racing will follow.
