Rushed this 65 coupe to be done for last year show season. Finally able to get back and finish that punch list.
Swapped the noisy 4 speed for a T5 5 speed. Change the exhaust for better sounding mufflers. Lowered it another 1inch all around. Redid dash bezel and dash paint. Seat extenders. Man what a difference. I’m happy with this little coupe. Just needs final detail and some nice weather!

Striping the car down to bare metal, doing body work, metal repair, and prep has too be one of the worst parts of restoring a 60yo car. I’m beyond stoked to have the first coat of epoxy primer on. She is all sealed up better than Ford did it. She’ll last another 60+ years.

I’m back! Sometimes life gets in the way. Had to sell the GT/CS and take a hiatus for a bit. But back on the 65 coupe. Stripped to bare metal and all metalwork done. Acid etched and will need more cleaning before expoxy coat is applied.

5hrs to prep the cowl and an area that will never be seen. But the cowl drains right through here. Got to seal it up good with expoxy and I will use some seam sealer over that. Better than Ford did it!
