As you know, we are selling Hammond's Body Shop and retiring after forty years in business. We appreciate all the kind words that many people posted about us. We would also like to thank everyone that took time out of their busy schedules to come to our surprise retirement party arranged by our four wonderful daughters Sara, Lacy, Abby, and Kelly, with help from Penny. It was unexpected and truly overwhelming.
We would like to recognize all the employees who have worked here over all these many years. All had their unique abilities that contributed to our success. We would especially like to thank our two current employees: Nick, Mike's son-in-law, and Penny, our office manager. We don't know how we would have managed the last ten years without them.
We cannot say goodbye without paying tribute to our late uncle, Dave Hammond. Uncle Dave started the shop in a small garage in Maryland 75 years ago. He moved the shop to Stewartstown in 1968. He was a one-of-a-kind man who did things one way--the right way. That's what he taught us, and that's what made us strive to always do quality work. Thank you, Uncle Dave.
Last, but certainly not least, we remember our wonderful mother, Althea. Mom ran the office for 30 years. She took charge of everything. She kept us straight and in-line and made us the people we have become. Mom wanted us to get out of the shop for many years. Now she can rest in peace. We love you, Mom.
Finally, we cannot forget our wonderful wives, Terri and Margie, who have put up with our long hours, dirty clothes, and smelling like paint. Thank you for all your support. We love you both.
Thanks again for letting us serve you.
Mike and Randy Phillips
