Our Story
The creation of RRT Racing was a natural evolution for RRT. RRT's roots were in designing and manufacturing the highest performance and quality parts in the BMW aftermarket, many of which have been imitated by other performance shops since then. Once RRT moved into the current Performance Facility in 2005, the high-end racecar parts business was put aside to focus on race car building, BMW maintenance, and suspension development.
Today there are dozens of RRT built and prepared racecars, BMWs as well as other makes, around the World. Each one built to the customer's particular specifications and driving style. Many of these cars have gone on to several championships, overall wins, and class wins while being featured in several national and regional media outlets. The cars built by RRT have campaigned in Grand-Am, World Challenge, BMWCCA, SCCA, and NASA as well as a variety of independent events and races. We have loyal customers from California to New England to South Africa.
Today RRT has again evolved in the Washington D.C. Metro's leading BMW, Mercedes and Audi service facility. We offer OEM parts and knowledge that is superior to that found at the dealership. Our work is warranted for a minimum of 12 months/12,000 miles, often longer. With our combined knowledge of the mechanics behind the BMW, Mercedes and Audi brands and the knowledge gained by years of motorsports racing, RRT & RRT Racing can offer a no-pressure service facility that will keep your vehicle running like new, and give you the option to change something you might not like about your vehicle by adding accessories or modifying it to your liking.

One of the great things about is how versatile these cars are! The E36 chassis is amazing HPDE weapon as well as a competitive choice in other racing classes! A NASA Spec3 racer also fought for podium in ST5 at Nationals at Daytona International Speedway this year.

Ever wonder what those cones mean when they are on the windshield of a coming off track? This means that driver finished high enough in the race or qualifying to need to be sent to impound to make sure they are over the minimum weight, not making too much power, and don't have illegal parts!

We want to say thank you to our friends from Spec e36 BMW Club Racing for joining us at HyperFest! It's been a long standing tradition to combine these two classes each year for this event and it never fails to be a great time! We may have different rule books and sanctioning bodies, but we are still family.
