Belgrade Swansboro Road Temporary Closure
September 28-30, 2026

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has advised of an upcoming temporary closure of Belgrade Swansboro Road (SR 1434) for infrastructure improvements. The Town would like to make residents aware that the roadway will be closed for approximately three days beginning on Monday, September 28th, to allow for a pipe replacement project.

Motorists should expect traffic disruptions in the area and are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible. Residents are asked to follow all posted signage and traffic control measures during the closure period.

A location image is included below to help residents identify the affected section of Belgrade Swansboro Road and plan an alternate route.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation and the Town appreciates the public's patience and cooperation while this necessary work is completed.

It’s a complete white out. Stay home if you can and stay safe!!! The roads are very bad as you can see. Most of these towns do NOT have plow equipment
