This week, we are featuring a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans/Am.
A truly special local treasure, it is 1 owner, original paint, numbers matching everything, and was sold new here in Staunton. It is also unique as it is a factory Firebird delete car, meaning it was ordered without the gold bird on the hood. This sets it apart from another, rather famous, black 1977 Trans Am. This car was ordered 6 months before that movie was released, and the owner has always liked that his car was different than Burt’s.

It is now available for purchase for the first time in 48 years!

This morning we were the rallying point for a Shenandoah Valley British Car Club-SVBCC luncheon drive. We had a wonderful tour and visit with members before they headed off to lunch on a scenic drive to Lexington

At first glance, it would difficult to see the commonalities between these 6 automobiles...but the thing they share in common is extremely unique and really cool to have under one roof at one time:
Each of these cars is a one person or one family owned automobile, and were all sold new here in Staunton!
The Bonneville, Cadillac, Corvette and Trans Am are all original paint, and additionally the Bonneville and Cadillac are very low mileage vehicles.
The Corvette is sold and the red C10 will never be for sale- the rest are available for purchase and I invite you to stop in for a visit to see them!

As it is Mother's Day weekend, I thought I would share one of my favorite car related photos of my mom. She really was a car girl at heart, and of all the cool cars my dad had through the years, I think this Corvette was her favorite.

It is a 1962; it was Ermine White with Black interior, and yes, it was a 327 Fuel Injected 4-Speed car. Basically, it was the Holy Grail of 1962 Corvettes today. My parents would say, "Back then, it was just another car."
But really, I think they knew it was special even then.

A little fun extra is that my dad actually taught her to drive manual transmission on this car! In the parking lot of Ware Elementary School!
