Since it's been a while let's start at the beginning shall we.
Anthony contacted the shop looking for someone to knock out a valve cover gasket reseal, plenum coolant line bypass, EGR delete, and emissions solenoids delete. The vehicle was at another shop previously and were not able to get this done. After getting his vehicle dropped off I got to work and immediately noticed that things were amiss. As the vehicle was not running I could not hear the condition of the engine, however when the valve covers were removed it was noted that the oil did not look normal. At this point the oil was drained from the engine and it was noted that it had excessive amounts of metal debris in it.

What initially began as a relatively simple job turned into a big project. The engine was disassembled and inspected. It was noted that it had been rebuilt at some point, however there was missing/mismatched hardware all over. The oil pan was removed and it was discovered that the engine had chewed through a rod bearing. This engine was no longer usable.
After discussing some options over with Anthony, we came up with a game plan to get this fixed and neither of us were prepared for such a huge shift in plans.

A good used NA engine was sourced and it had the following done to it:
- 120k timing belt service
- valve cover gasket reseal
- oil pan reseal
- rear main seal
- all plenum deletes
- EGR delete
- complimentary engine bay degreasing

Now Anthony has been ripping on his new Z with no issues relating to the engine. He will be back for some upgrades in the future along with more maintenance items that are normal for a vehicle this age.

Unfortunately not many updates have been posted here since May.
We have been battling parking issues with the facility since summer but have remained diligent in pushing out work and accepting customers whenever possible.
Currently we are no longer taking any new appointments for the rest of the year other than the ones that are currently pending and waiting for a drop off date.
The shop is still here and we are going strong. There is a ton of backlog of work that needs to be posted. Those updates will be posted soon in the coming month.
Thank you to all my current and new customers for your patience and support.

Back at it with another car that has gone through us here at the shop.
This one was a quick one. Customer came in for an oil change and it was making a loud bearing noise. Initially it was suspected to be an idler but a complimentary inspection was performed during the oil change and it was noted that the alternator had a failed bearing. He dropped off the customer the next day and after a quick swap with a new alternator she's back in the road driving safely.
The car also had a few small issues such as non working turn signals, broken turn signal wires, pinched radiator coolant hose due to it not being cut to length. These issues were all fixed free of charge for the customer.
We will see him come back for some major upgrades and also a few more maintenance items related to the AC system.
Thank you for your business!

We are taking bookings for July 2025 and beyond. Feel free to message the page for any questions or inquiries and we will respond at our earliest availability. Thanks!

A little bit of Euro going down at the shop with this F30.
Customers brought the car in to get some suspension replaced and upgrade his shocks for better handling.
We replaced all the upper and lower front suspension arms with new OE products, replaced the steering rack with new inner and outer tie rods, installed ST Suspensions coilover, new fuel pump, and oil change.
She's taking the turns way better and has a nicer stance as well.

This customer dropped off his car at the shop due to an excessive oil leak that occurred while he was near the shop at 1am on a Sunday morning.
After a quick diagnostic was performed it was found that one of the lines for the oil cooler had ruptured. After further research was done, it was noted that this is a regularly common occurrence for all of these Dodge vehicles.
We replaced them with a set of OEM oil cooler hoses and also performed a Penzoil Platinum 0-W40 oil change with Mopar OEM filter. Also as a courtesy the engine bay was degreased and pressure washed to remove all the residual oil that had ended up in the engine bay from the oil leak.
Now this Charger Hellcat has been running good tearing up the streets of Houston with no issues.

Today's showcase is this beautiful JDM 1990 Nissan 300zx NA in Pearl Yellow. This vehicle in particular is a bit special because Mospec Performance has been lucky enough to service the vehicle after it changed owners.

The original owner brought it to Mospec for a manual swap and rear main seal replacement. It received a resurfaced OEM NA flywheel, excedy stock clutch, arp hardware, a short shifter with brass bushings for crisp shifts, a new clutch master and slave cylinder, stainless steel one piece clutch line, and one piece driveshaft.

While it was here it was noted that the radiator was cracked and leaking. The customer opted into getting a good used radiator to remedy the issue for the time being. Once that work was completed the car was ripping through gears with it's new drivetrain.

A while after the vehicle changed hands and Mauricio had the privilege of meeting the new owner. After some discussion of the previous work that was performed along with previous recommendations the new owner brought the car back in for a injector replacement and valve cover gasket reseal. We also went ahead and did all the deletes to make pulling the plenum not resemble pulling teeth. Once that was done the car was running amazing with its new fuel system and she was ripping through the gears flawlessly once more.

At some point the transmission tunnel suffered some damage due to some clogged catalytic converters and the current owner returned once more for some electrical work to get the body harness repaired so that the vehicle would not have any more sketchy shielding or exposed writing that could short out.

Now she's back home and it's running like a dream. Soon she will be returning for some AC work so that she can be driven in this Texas heat.

Old work from September 2024.
This customer came in for a quick check over on his Z.
Firstly he had upgraded to the newer Haltech NSP system and had some issues with the software. After going through a few settings and verifying the tune was good everything checked out. He also requested an oil change so we went ahead and followed up with the preferred race oil of choice for built engines here at Mospec Performance. He got our premium race oil change package for built VGs.

This customer has been a repeat customer for the last year due to many issues with his R33 Skyline GTST.
At first he had an issue with his steering being very hard and a HICAS light being present on the dash. After a diagnostic he opted into doing the GKTech HICAS delete kit, GKTech tension rods, GKTech outer tire rods, and the HICAS ECU was inspected and repaired to give him a smooth steering feel while upgrading the handling.
A while after he had issues with turn signals due to a improper wiring installation for some aftermarket mirrors with turn signals in them.
And lastly we followed up with some maintenance by replacing the thermostat, upgrading the radiator with new silicone hoses and performing a coolant flush.
Now this Skyline is driving around with no issues.
If you require any services similar to this and more to your Skyline feel free to send us a DM!
