We have been waiting on the official announcement but wanted to share our photos. So here are some impromptu pictures to show we have completed America’s Great Loop!! And some pics of our friends who also have crossed their wake as well. It has been an amazing journey! Our friends on RiverSong will continue this year. Our friends on Gianna have finished. Isla B (friends pictured here) have just crossed and are heading home, and Bella Vita are about halfway and are continuing. Hopefully, our official announcement will be out soon.

Cave-in-Rock, first named by a French explorer in 1739. Native Americans used to use it for shelter long before the Europeans came. This rock has such an amazing history! 55 foot wide and 100 vertical “chimney”, making it a perfect spot to hide or find shelter. In fact, this rock was also used by outlaws to surprise, rob, and sometimes murder those on the boats going down the river carrying grain and produce. River pirates 🏴‍☠️ is what they were called. Also, the Harpe Brothers, considered to be America’s first serial killers, used the area to take travelers there. They would strip their victims naked and push them off the bluff. The river pirate leader, Samuel Mason, eventually ran the brothers out of the cave. This rock is located off the Ohio River, near Hardin County, Illinois.
