šŸš— šŸš— WEST COUNTY (ST. LOUIS SUBURBS) DRIVER TRAINING DAYS — COMING SOON?

Freedom on Wheels Driving School is exploring the addition of scheduled West County Driver Training Days for students who prefer not to travel to our South St. Louis training location. West County St. Louis is a sprawling, affluent suburban region west of Interstate 270.

Potential meeting locations include:

šŸ“ Ballwin DMV

šŸ“ Brentwood / Whole Foods

Students would meet and leave from the designated location while receiving structured behind-the-wheel driving instruction in nearby communities such as Ballwin, Kirkwood, Webster Groves, Richmond Heights, Brentwood, Ladue, Frontenac, etc

This would allow students in West County to access professional driving instruction closer to home while maintaining a structured training environment.

If you live in West County and would be interested in this option, comment below or send us a message.

We are currently evaluating demand and scheduling availability.

# # # The Impact of Illegal Driving Instructors in St. Louis: A Call to Action for the Indian Community
My name is Ilango Gurusamy, and I am the owner of Freedom on Wheels Driving School—a legal, licensed, and legitimate driving school that has been proudly serving the St. Louis community for the past 8 years. My commitment to providing high-quality, safe, and reliable driving instruction has helped countless students gain the skills and confidence needed to navigate the roads safely. At Freedom on Wheels, we uphold the highest standards in driving education, ensuring that every student receives the best possible training in a supportive and professional environment.
It has been confirmed that there are many illegal driving instructors operating in St. Louis, most of whom are students on F1 visas. These individuals, while possibly well-intentioned, are not authorized to provide driving instruction and are, in fact, operating in violation of the law. This illegal activity poses significant risks not only to those receiving instruction but also to the broader community.
As a legal driving school owner, I am compelled to bring this issue to light once again and appeal to the Indian community to support legitimate businesses like mine, Freedom on Wheels Driving School.

***********************************************************************A key question we’re contemplating is whether the universities concerned are aware of the activities of these so-called driving instructors. It’s important for all institutions and the community at large to be informed about these issues to ensure that students and residents are receiving proper, legal instruction.
***********************************************************************

Why This Matters:

Illegal driving instructors often lack the proper certifications, insurance, and training required to safely and effectively teach driving skills. This not only endangers the students who may receive inadequate instruction but also compromises the safety of everyone on the road. In addition, these unregulated operations undermine the efforts of legal, licensed instructors who have invested time, money, and effort into building reputable businesses that adhere to state laws and regulations.

Moreover, the presence of these illegal instructors creates unfair competition for licensed driving schools. They often undercut prices, offering lower rates that appeal to budget-conscious consumers. However, the lower price comes at a high cost—compromised safety, lack of accountability, and potential legal repercussions for both the instructor and the student. This unfair competition threatens the livelihoods of legal driving school operators, who are trying to maintain their businesses and provide quality service within the confines of the law.

The Role of the Community:

The Indian community in St. Louis is known for its strong values, including respect for the law and support for local businesses. I am appealing to you, the members of this community, to help us address this issue by refusing to patronize illegal driving instructors. Instead, choose to support legitimate driving schools that operate legally, ensuring that you or your loved ones receive proper, safe, and reliable driving instruction.

What You Can Do:

1. **Verify Credentials**: Before hiring a driving instructor, ask for their credentials. Ensure they are licensed and certified by the appropriate state authorities. Legal instructors will have no issue providing proof of their qualifications.

2. **Report Illegal Activity**: If you are aware of any illegal driving instructors operating in your area, report them to the relevant authorities. Your actions can help protect others from potentially dangerous instruction and support the legal driving school industry.

3. **Spread the Word**: Educate your friends, family, and community members about the risks associated with illegal driving instructors. Encourage them to choose legal, reputable driving schools.

4. **Support Legal Driving Schools**: By choosing to do business with licensed instructors, you are not only ensuring quality instruction but also supporting local businesses that operate within the law.

# # # The Consequences of Inaction

If the illegal driving school industry continues to thrive, the consequences could be severe. The quality of driving instruction will diminish, leading to more accidents and unsafe drivers on the road. Legal driving schools may be forced out of business, reducing the availability of quality instruction. This could create a ripple effect, impacting not just the driving school industry but the safety and well-being of the entire community.

A Personal Appeal

As the owner of Freedom on Wheels Driving School, I have dedicated myself to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality driving instruction. I have invested heavily in my business to ensure that every student receives the best possible education on the road. The proliferation of illegal driving instructors threatens not only my livelihood but also the integrity of the driving education system in St. Louis.

For instance, I’ve heard that prices range from $40 to students (2 hours) and $60 to those who are employed. These prices are not only unjustified, but it’s even more troubling that these individuals—students themselves—are acting as driving instructors when they shouldn’t be.

I urge you to stand with me in this fight against illegal driving instructors. Together, we can ensure that the roads remain safe, that quality instruction is available to all, and that legal businesses like mine are able to continue serving the community.

Thank you for your support and understanding. Let’s work together to shut down the illegal driving school industry and protect our community.

As we continue to serve our students with the highest standards in driving education, I want to inform you that we’re taking proactive steps to ensure that the driving school industry remains safe and reliable for everyone. This includes exploring various measures—both community-based and legal—to address concerns about the growing number of unlicensed and illegal driving instructors operating in the area.

Our goal is to protect the integrity of the driving education process and ensure that all learners receive proper training in a safe, supportive environment. We’re committed to upholding the trust you’ve placed in us, and we’ll keep you informed as we move forward.

Thank you for your continued support of Freedom on Wheels Driving School. Together, we can keep our roads safe and our community strong.

Stay safe, and drive responsibly!

This weekend, I might be travelling to Nixa, Missouri to experience the new Continuous Flow Intersection. A Continuous Flow Intersection has traffic turning left placed to the left of oncoming traffic, opposite where it is normally. This removes the conflict between on-coming traffic and traffic turning left. Vehicles turning left access the lane a few hundred feet in front of the intersection.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) introduced a new continuous flow intersection (CFI) in Nixa, Missouri. This intersection, located at U.S. Route 160 and Christian County Route CC, aims to eliminate the conflict between oncoming traffic and left-turning vehicles by placing left-turn traffic to the left of oncoming traffic before reaching the intersection. This innovative design enhances traffic flow and safety at this busy junction

Dear Examiners at the St. Louis DMV,

I am the owner of Freedom on Wheels Driving School.

I would like to bring to your attention a matter of concern that affects the integrity and professionalism of our driving instruction and examination process. While the majority of examiners uphold the highest standards, there have been occasional instances where a small minority of examiners misuse their position by flirting with female students and attempting to obtain their contact information.
This has happened to a couple students of mine in the past. It could have happened to more, but, I only know of a few who reported that they were treated this way.

This behavior is inappropriate and unprofessional, and it undermines the trust and respect that should exist between examiners and students. I respectfully appeal to the highway patrol examination stations to address this issue and ensure that all examiners conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism and respect towards all students.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Ilango Gurusamy

Working with divorced single women, whether they have children or not, can be incredibly challenging. Many of these women face difficulties in finalizing their divorces, battling not only their estranged spouses but also navigating a legal system that may not always be supportive. This situation often places divorced women in precarious positions, as they contend with accumulating bills and the complexities of maintaining lawful immigration status. Additionally, they have the responsibilities of raising children and managing visitation schedules, which adds further strain to their circumstances.

As a single man, it's crucial for me to comprehend the challenges women encounter. To effectively support them, I must be attuned to their struggles. I make a concerted effort to show solidarity and actively listen when women share their difficulties with me, always asking how I can assist them further.

In my role as a small business owner of a growing driving school, my interaction with women extends beyond training sessions. I aim to create a supportive environment where their concerns are acknowledged and addressed, both during and outside of their driving lessons.

Sometimes, I meet with women facing extraordinary circumstances in a restaurant to better understand their situations and offer assistance if requested. Through these interactions, I've been fortunate to connect with individuals who introduce me to women's organizations supporting them. For instance, the Independence Center is an organization that provides driving school scholarships to women. This partnership enables me to teach these women how to drive, empowering them to improve their lives and gain greater independence.
