The biggest challenge of repairing RVs is often getting to it!

We replaced this power converter for a customer. The converter is behind the electric panel and lots of wires!

We got it done!

𝗧𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 - 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗗𝗼? You mostly see turtles crossing roads in September to October. They do this for many reasons. During the late summer and fall, hatchling turtles are digging up from nests, looking for water and later on males and females are heading to places to hibernate. Sometimes they are migrating to a more suitable spot to live.

For whatever reason these turtles are traveling, their destination can take them miles away from the water they live in. With greater human development, turtles must cross more roads.

Although you may be tempted to relocate a turtle, don't. Many turtles have "Home Ranges", a territory they call home, and when relocated, they will search out ways back. Moving them to the side of the road is just fine. Besides risking many additional road crossings, some turtles, if they cannot find their way back will stop eating and just wander listlessly.

How to safely help a turtle cross the road:
🚗 Check for traffic first.
➡️ Move the turtle in the direction it was heading.
❌ Don’t move it back to where it started or far away from where you found it—turtles have specific territories!

⚠️ Don’t move pregnant females (like snapping turtles) to water—they lay eggs on land.

Relocating turtles can do more harm than good since they will try to return home, risking more road crossings or becoming disoriented.

Handling tips:
✋ Use two hands, thumbs on top of the shell, fingers underneath.
⏳ Only handle as long as needed to get it to safety.
