Remember that gorgeous ’55 Chevy Bel Air we told you to stay tuned for? 😎🔥

Here’s what was going on underneath.

The customer had installed a new rear end and decided to switch the car from coil springs back to leaf springs. On a modified classic like this, you can’t just throw it on the alignment rack, set it to factory specs, and call it good. Getting the rear end properly squared up first helps make sure the car tracks correctly and the entire setup works together the way it should.

Custom car = custom alignment. 👌

Now this ’55 is dialed in and ready to get back on the road. 🔥

But this beauty isn’t here just to show off… we’ve got some work to do underneath to get everything dialed in and ready for the road.

👀 Stay tuned — next up, we’ll show you what brought this ’55 into the shop!

🛑 Brake Week Part 3: Sometimes the brake shoes are the EASY part… 😅

Replacing the park brake shoes on this Chevy truck takes quite a bit more work than you might expect.
To get to them and replace them correctly, we have to remove the axle, bearing AND hub assembly first. 🔧

It’s a perfect example of why two jobs that both involve “brakes” can require completely different amounts of labor depending on the vehicle and the components being repaired.

That's a wrap on Brake Week at Premier Car Care!

Hearing squealing, grinding or other strange brake noises? Feeling shaking or vibration when you stop? Don't wait until you're metal-to-metal. Bring it in and let us take a look! 🛠️

🛑 Brake Week Part 2: You DON'T always need new calipers!

This Chevy Traverse needed new brake pads and rotors, but the calipers? Those were still serviceable. 🙌

When they're in good condition and functioning properly, we can service the existing calipers instead of automatically replacing them — saving unnecessary parts and expense while still making sure the braking system works exactly as it should.

Good brake repair isn't about replacing everything. It's about knowing what actually needs to be replaced and what can be properly serviced. 🔧

And if you think this one was straightforward… wait until you see what it takes to replace the park brake shoes on a Chevy truck. 👀

Some weeks you see a lot of the same problems!
🚨 BRAKE WEEK starts out with this 1997 Toyota 4Runner, came in with lots of brake noise and shaking — and once we got into it, we found the brakes had gone completely metal-to-metal. 😬

This one needed new brake pads, rotors AND calipers to get it stopping smoothly and safely again. 🛠️

But here’s the thing — you don’t always have to replace the calipers, and sometimes a brake job is a LOT more involved than you’d expect. We’ve got two more brake repairs coming this week that show exactly that. 👀

Follow along for our other brake jobs this week at Premier Car Care!

That light isn't just for decoration!

During a routine service on this Honda, the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) light was on. A quick inspection and proper tire inflation can help improve safety, fuel economy, and tire life.

Don't ignore your dashboard warnings—they're there for a reason!

That humming noise isn't just "getting old."

This 2010 Ford Edge came in with noisy, worn-out front wheel bearings. Ignoring a bad wheel bearing can lead to poor handling, uneven tire wear, and even a safety concern if it gets severe.

If your vehicle is making a growling or humming noise that changes with speed, don't wait—have it checked before it becomes a bigger repair.
