Computers and modules have been integrated into vehicles as far back as the early 80's. Today, those computers can tell you when the door is open, how much gasoline you have left, and even tell you when there is something in your back seat. They also monitor systems in order to detect when something might be wrong: everything from a fuel cap not being secured correctly or a solenoid going bad in your transmission. Knowing the difference between those lights can be tricky and sometimes frustrating. This is where we come in by staying up on the latest training in order to efficiently find solutions to any light that may be currently illuminated. If you have a light you're not sure about, feel free to stop by, give us a call, or email. Whether older or newer, we are happy to help with any concerns you may have about your vehicle.

One of the most common repairs we do during the winter season is failed batteries. Batteries run a certain voltage in order to properly power and start your vehicle. Here is a short article explaining the importance of battery power. At Sam's Auto Service, we test batteries by putting them under an electrical load in order to see how the battery holds its charge. If you think your vehicle has a slow start in the morning, or the battery light comes on, give us a call or email and we'd be happy to make sure your vehicle stays reliable.
