🏁 WHAT A WEEK IN SPRINGFIELD! 🏁
Four straight days of racing in 100+ degree temperatures was brutal, but everyone stepped up and made it happen.
First and foremost, we want to thank all of the fans who came out and supported our events despite the extreme heat. You guys are the reason we do this, and seeing everyone still show up and support flat track racing meant a lot to us.
We can't say enough about our crew. There were definitely some stressful moments throughout the four days, but everyone stuck together, worked through it, and kept the show moving. We're extremely proud of the job they did.
A huge thank you to the Illinois State Fairgrounds and their entire staff. We love working with this group. They went above and beyond all week, especially dealing with the extreme heat, and made sure we had everything we needed to put on a great event.
Thank you to American Flat Track as well. Their staff worked extremely well with our crew all weekend to keep the show rolling and give the fans the best racing possible.
We had a few crashes throughout the four days, but thankfully no riders had to be transported, and that's always one of the biggest wins we can have at the end of a race weekend.
We also want to thank Cory Texter Promotions for working with us on the Short Track and TT. We had a goal of bringing the Springfield TT back this year, and we couldn't be happier with the response. Working alongside Cory and his team helped make both events run smoothly, and we appreciate everything they brought to the weekend.
And of course, a huge THANK YOU to all of our sponsors who continue to stand behind Mees Promotions and our two events, especially during some challenging times. You are a huge piece of the puzzle and help make these events possible year after year. We hope our fans recognize the companies that support our sport and support those who support us. We truly couldn't do it without you.
All in all, it was a great week of racing. A lot of work, a lot of heat, a few stressful moments—but also a lot to be proud of.
