In 1955, my wife’s uncle bought the Ford F-100 from a Ford dealership in Houston, Texas. Her cousin began driving the Ford in 1964, and during each week in the summer, the two high school cousins drove the truck and sat in heavy traffic for many hours traveling to and from work each day. In…

"Fred’s Dream"

Every great truck tells a story, and this one carries a legacy.

This 1954 Ford F100, fittingly named "Fred’s Dream", was originally Fred’s pride and joy. To honor his memory this truck was brought back to life. What started as a heartfelt tribute evolved into a stunning restomod that perfectly balances nostalgia and performance.

Built on a Schwanke Engines Running Rolling Chassis and equipped with Mustang II IFS, this truck drives like a modern street machine while preserving its timeless character. Under the hood, a 5.7L Stage II Street Performance Engine delivers 425 horsepower, paired to a 4L60E transmission with a 2200 street stall torque converter, a setup that gives "Fred’s Dream" both power and poise on the open road.

This truck has a story as unique as its patina. It originally belonged to a 95-year-old woman from Clever, Missouri, whose late husband had used it in his bull-dozing business. After his passing, she decided it was time to let the truck go - and that’s where the next chapter began.

Jeff and his wife, took on the task of carrying forward Mr. Little’s legacy. They modernized the chassis, suspension, and engine package, all while preserving the truck’s original patina and the incredible hand-painted door markings that tell its history.
