🔧 2020 Nissan Sentra SR – Complete Brake Service 🚗

Another vehicle safely back on the road!

This 2020 Nissan Sentra SR came in with worn brake components. After an inspection, I recommended replacing the brake pads and rotors on all four corners to restore safe braking performance.

Services Performed:
✅ Replaced front brake pads & rotors
✅ Replaced rear brake pads & rotors
✅ Removed four locking wheel lug nuts using a specialty extraction tool
✅ Installed a new set of standard lug nuts

🔧 Another repair completed by Clark’s Garage! 🔧

This 2012 Dodge Durango 5.7L Gen III HEMI came in for a cooling system service and maintenance.

✅ Replaced water pump
✅ Replaced thermostat
✅ Hand-cut and installed a custom thermostat gasket for a perfect fit
✅ Engine oil & filter change
✅ A/C system performance check
✅ Cooling system refilled and bled

The old water pump had reached the end of its life, so a new unit was installed along with a fresh thermostat to help keep this HEMI running at the proper operating temperature. Everything was cleaned, gasket surfaces were properly prepped, and the cooling system was reassembled with attention to detail.

🔧 Another Hybrid Saved at Clark’s Garage! 🚗💨

Today’s project: 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Radiator Replacement!

The customer noticed a coolant smell, and after a thorough inspection and pressure test, the radiator was confirmed to be leaking. The old radiator is out, and the new one is going in to get this hybrid back on the road with a reliable cooling system.

🔧 Another Challenging Diagnostic Successfully Completed at Clark’s Garage! 🔧

Some of the most rewarding repairs are the ones that require patience, testing, and refusing to guess.

A 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid came into the shop with:
• Check engine light
• Intermittent shifting concerns
• Manual shift mode inoperative
• Abnormal drivetrain noise during takeoff

Over several days, we performed extensive diagnostics, including scan data analysis, wiring integrity checks, actuator testing, electrical testing, and multiple road tests. Rather than replacing parts based on a fault code alone, we followed the evidence every step of the way.

The root cause of the shifting issue was traced to a failed Hydraulic Clutch Actuator (HCA). After replacing the HCA, we completed multiple long road tests, and the transmission operated normally with no warning lights returning.

While diagnosing the vehicle, we also discovered an intermediate shaft support bearing that was creating a separate rotational noise, along with a radiator leak that explained the coolant odor the customer had been noticing.

This repair is a great reminder that a vehicle can have more than one problem at the same time, and taking the time to properly diagnose each concern helps prevent unnecessary parts replacement and repeat visits.

As a father of three, today means a little more than just another day on the calendar. Being a dad has taught me patience, hard work, sacrifice, and the importance of making time for the people who matter most.

🔧 Another Chevrolet Traverse Back on the Road! 🔧

This 2014 Chevrolet Traverse came into Clark’s Garage needing front-end repairs due to worn suspension and steering components.

🚗 Shop Update – 2007 Lexus RX 350 🚗

This Lexus RX 350 came into Clark’s Garage with several concerns, including a leaking steering rack and worn brake components.

After a thorough inspection, we completed:

✔️ Steering rack replacement
✔️ Front and rear brake pads & rotors
✔️ Rear differential fluid service
✔️ Transfer case fluid service

The old steering rack was leaking from the bellows boots, and the brake system was due for replacement. New Magma Pro Series pads and rotors were installed to restore safe, reliable braking performance.

We also inspected the A/C system after concerns of a possible evaporator leak. After vacuum testing, recharging, UV dye inspection, and extended operation, no active evaporator leak could be confirmed at this time. Instead of selling a major repair that couldn’t be verified, we recommended monitoring the system moving forward.
