Here's a sweet little miata that was in for some bodywork. Once I had the fender off it was evident that thae car had been in a wreck & the frame was a little bent. Also there was some rust repair to handle while I was in there. My friend at Walzl Auto pulled the frame perfectly. Then it was on with a new fender & blended in the paint. After it was cured enough the paint got cut & buffed. I'd say it turned out pretty nice! This ride is ready for summertime cruising. Time for some motor magic! This 72 Javelin SST is one of the classic cars brought in for maintenance & upgrades. I posted the first couple jobs being done to it last week. This is one of the later tasks on this job, but let's pretend this is a Tarantino movie for now. I have installed an Edelbrock performer & carburetor on the 360 c.i. to replace the original 2 barrel carburetor. I made or customized a lot of brackets & hardware to make it all work. AMC went out of business over 40 years ago so you can imagine the parts availability isn't as vast as Ford, GM or Dodge, so it takes a little creativity to get the job done. This is the final day for the tuning of the ignition & carb. I like to tune over a couple days with varying weather to get the car running great in all conditions. Here's the newest arrival at Ross Godber's Victory Garage, is this sweet 79 MGB! Even though I service & build cars from all parts of the new or old, the 2 cars I'm known for are American muscle & British roadsters. I know they're quite a contrast. When I was just a little grease monkey my dad had a 1969 MGB. I don't think it would start unless my dad was wearing his driver's cap & gloves! Here's the finished product from one of last week's projects. The hood latch on this Nissan Pathfinder was mangled and would not release. I had to take layers of the front end off like it was an onion. Eventually I was able to see the hood latch behind the radiator. I had to carefully drill out the rivets in the latch to get it to fall apart and release the hood. All affected parts have been replaced with factory revised pieces and it's like new! Here's a really sweet 1972 Javelin I have the pleasure of working on. It's been here getting the bugs worked out of it, I just haven't had time to post anything about it yet. I'll be putting up a few things I've been up to on it & it's going to be awesome! First was to replace the starter solenoid & power steering pump & hoses. One thing working on the classics is your always learning. When the new pump arrived it looked a little different from the one that was on the car. Turns out the pump on the engine is from a later Jeep Cherokee. The shaft the pulley goes on was a different length. Those repairs are the first couple things out of the way.
