With as much snow as we have gotten this winter so far and with the influx of people needing help with snow removal, I've decided to offer my services to the community. I recently acquired a snow blower for my tractor to make clearing your driveway a breeze and with a lack of ugly snow piles in your yard. $50 minimum, $75 an hour. Don't forget about your regular scheduled maintenance!!!! Regular maintenance could save you thousands in repairs later down the road. Pictured here is a transfer case also known as a PTU by ford. This is from a 2007 ford edge, very common concern with this year range ford, all wheel drive vehicles. When people don't change their fluid in these PTU's often enough, they get all gunked up inside causing bearing failure. Also in most cases, the vehicle will have a horrible burning smell from the fluid cooking inside. Once it gets to this point, it's too late and it has to be replaced. This particular part cost $1200 dollars and can only get it from the dealer. Spend the 200 dollars every 30,000 miles and get the fluid changed so you don't have a failure like this one!!!

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, it's been a busy couple of months but I am starting to get caught up!! I have openings starting as early as next week! Get scheduled now to get your maintenance covered before your summer road trips!!

Here at Karr mechanic, I specialize in Ford gasoline engines but can work on just about anything, and also do metal fabrication/welding.

Here we have a Ford flex water pump job. The water pump is driven by the timing chain which makes it a big/expensive job!! I was able to get this car back to the customer quickly and for about 60% of the cost a dealership would charge.

Skip the dealer, support local, save money!!!!

Are you ready for the snow to come??? I have you covered!!! The tractor, roughly 120 bags of ice melt, and I are ready to serve you this coming winter. I will be offering snow removal and ice melt this winter, so contact us today to get on the schedule. I will on vacation for the next few weeks but once I get back I will be ready to serve.

Giving everyone a heads up, I will be finishing up the vehicles I have already scheduled for this week, and then I will be going on my annual family vacation for a while. I will start scheduling people when I return. Sorry for the inconvenience.

On a side note, when I return, we will be close to having snow on the ground. I will be offering snow removal and ice melt application this winter. So if you want to get on the books for that now, message me and I will give you the details. Keep in mind this year I only have a tractor to work with, plan on getting a plow for next winter as long as business is good enough to warrant getting one.

Couple before and after pics. Customer brought me his camper with the bumper starting to fall off. Made out of super thin metal and with the weight of the spare tire and extra cargo on the back, made it weak and crack through. So I extended the frame 2 inches and welded up a new 4"x4", 1/8" thick bumper. Added a little more support to handle more weight in the future if needed. Added a trap door for extra hoses. Customer also had a lumber rack that had some welds crack. Cleaned them up and added some more bracing. Another happy customer!!

This customer brought their van to me to do some much needed maintenance. In dyer need of a tune up, oil change, replacing the leaking water pump, and a couple evaporative emissions leaks. Enough to keep it on the road for a while longer until the customer finds the perfect new van for their needs!!!

Dont forget to keep up on your oil changes and other regular maintenance. Better to spend 50 dollars now rather than 500...
