Harlow Truck and Bus Repair highly recommends a good preventative maintenance schedule. When small things are neglected on your vehicle it can lead to bigger problems.
This unit had a CEL active for Fuel Delivery Temperature Too High. Prior to replacing that sensor and spending time on unnecessary diagnosis the Tech checked the fuel filters.
Fuel filters should not be black....😬.
Replaced the fuel filters and CEL is resolved.

Colored smoke coming from your exhaust signals issues that should never be ignored. White, Grey or Black smoke can indicate your vehicle is burning too much coolant, fuel or engine oil. The sooner these signs are noticed and diagnosed the easier and possibly cheaper the vehicle repair will be.
This vehicle is over-fueling, sending more fuel through the injectors than the engine can properly burn, which causes raw fuel to come out the exhaust. If this issue is not addressed the excess fuel washes down the cylinders causing premature engine failure. 😬
