August 1, 1941 — the day it all began.
Willys-Overland rolled out the first Army Jeep, the Willys MB, built to meet the U.S. military’s demand for a rugged, go-anywhere vehicle during WWII. It earned legendary status on the battlefield and was even called “America’s greatest contribution to modern warfare” by General George C. Marshall. Tough, reliable, and ready for anything — the Jeep was born with purpose.
By 1945, Willys brought that same grit to the civilian world with the CJ-2A — the first Jeep available to the public. The CJ, short for “Civilian Jeep,” kicked off a new era, inspiring decades of evolution that led to the modern Jeep Wrangler. What started as a utility rig became a lifestyle, and the seven-slot grille became a global symbol of freedom and adventure.
At ARW Offroad, we live and breathe that legacy. Whether you want a clean daily, a weekend toy, or a trail-ready beast, if you can dream it, we can build it. Call us today, and let’s bring your Jeep vision to life.
