Updates as of 4:30 PM on 07/11/2025:

-Kayak launch area has re-opened, however, we are still encouraging folks to not enter the water at this time.
📣 Park Updates for Friday, July 11, 2025
We appreciate your continued patience as we move through cleanup and recovery efforts here at Guadalupe River State Park following recent flood impacts. Here’s what you need to know before your visit:
🚧 Kayak Launch Area Remains Closed
This area will remain closed through the end of July 11, due to ongoing repairs. We’re expecting road base deliveries and heavy equipment operations to address road washouts.
🚫 River Access Connector Trail at Wagon Ford Camping Loop Closed
This connector trail is also closed through 7/11 for the same repair operations. Please avoid the area and follow all posted signage.
🛑 Partial Opening of River Day-Use Area
-A portion of the river day-use area will open on 07/11/2025, but access will be limited. Closed areas are clearly marked with signs and will also be communicated at the Park Headquarters.
-Visitors may only access the lower river area via the main rock staircase and the asphalt ramp to the right of the day-use restrooms.
-Updates will be provided when the closures in this area are lifted.
🥾Trail Impacts
-A section of the Bald Cypress Trail will remain closed as it overlaps with the restricted day-use river area.
-All other trails and the Bauer Unit are open to foot traffic only (no biking or equestrian access at this time).
⛺️Camping & Facilities
-The Wagon Ford Camping Loop is open, but river access from the campground is still not permitted (see note on closure above.)
-The Discovery Center is open and operating on its regular schedule.
⚠️ Safety Reminders
-It is not advised to enter the water at this time—conditions remain unpredictable.
-Please refrain from standing under the Bald Cypress trees along the river at this time; there is still debris and "trees within trees" along the immediate riverbank as we have not been able to target these areas yet.
-Be alert and do not impede ongoing cleanup or S&R operations. Our staff and partners are actively working throughout the park.
-Your cooperation and awareness help us keep everyone safe.
Thank you for being kind, flexible, and safe as we continue to restore this special place. 💚
