❤️ THIS is what community looks like. ❤️

This past Sunday, we teamed up with Car Craze Events for a very impromptu car show with one goal in mind — to come together and collect donations for families in our community affected by the Spokane County fires.

We honestly didn’t know what kind of turnout to expect on such short notice.

You guys absolutely blew us away.

People showed up with clothes, shoes, children’s games, puzzles and toys, hygiene products, household necessities, food, pet food — and even cash donations ❤️

Today, we had the privilege of getting all of those donations where they can start doing some good. The clothing and household items were dropped off at U-City U-Haul, where they’ll be sorted and distributed, and the food, pet food and hygiene items went to Partners INW.

Looking at Scott and our shop foreman, Thomas, standing in front of our Silver Star sign surrounded by everything YOU donated is pretty incredible.

Cars may be what brought a lot of us together, but this community is about so much more than cars.

To Car Craze Events, everyone who came out Sunday, everyone who donated, and everyone working behind the scenes to help our neighbors through an incredibly difficult time — thank you.

We are so proud and so thankful to be surrounded by people who don’t hesitate to show up when their community needs them.

Did you know Mercedes-Benz helped change vehicle safety forever?

In 1959, Mercedes engineer Béla Barényi helped develop the crumple zone—a design that allows parts of the vehicle to absorb crash energy while helping protect passengers inside.

Here’s the cool part…

Mercedes didn’t aggressively protect the idea to keep it exclusive. They allowed other manufacturers to use the technology because they believed safety should benefit everyone, not just Mercedes drivers.

Today, crumple zones are used across the automotive industry and have helped save countless lives.

That’s pretty incredible if you ask us.

Originally designed as a rugged off-road machine, it's somehow managed to become a luxury SUV, a status symbol, and an off-road legend all at the same time.

And after more than four decades, Mercedes still builds them with the same unmistakable silhouette.

Did you know Mercedes-Benz helped invent one of the most important safety features in automotive history?

In 1978, Mercedes-Benz introduced the first modern Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) in a production vehicle.

Before ABS, slamming on your brakes could lock up the wheels and cause drivers to lose steering control during emergency braking. Mercedes changed that forever.

Today, ABS is standard on virtually every modern vehicle on the road—and it all started with Mercedes engineering pushing safety forward.

Pretty cool that a feature we now take for granted started with the same three-pointed star sitting on the hood of classics and modern AMG monsters alike.
