🔧 The future is looking BRIGHT! 🌟

Yesterday, Scott and I had the opportunity to represent Silver Star Automotive at the Unlock Your Future Middle School Career Expo at HUB Sports Center, and what an incredible day it was!

We spent the day talking with hundreds of young minds about careers in the automotive industry and watching them explore all the different opportunities available in skilled trades, manufacturing, construction, and so much more.

There’s something pretty special about seeing the next generation get excited about working with their hands, learning new skills, and discovering career paths they may have never considered before.

We are huge believers that success doesn’t always require a four-year college degree. Skilled trades are the backbone of our communities, and the opportunities in these industries are endless!

As small business owners, it was especially rewarding to see so many curious, engaged kids asking questions and thinking about their futures. Who knows? We may have met a few of our future technicians yesterday! 😉

A huge THANK YOU to HUB Sports Center and everyone who helped put this event together. What a wonderful opportunity for our local students and businesses to connect.

The future of America is in good hands, and we’re proud to play even a small part in inspiring the next generation! 🇺🇸❤️

❤️ THIS is what community looks like. ❤️

This past Sunday, we teamed up with Car Craze Events for a very impromptu car show with one goal in mind — to come together and collect donations for families in our community affected by the Spokane County fires.

We honestly didn’t know what kind of turnout to expect on such short notice.

You guys absolutely blew us away.

People showed up with clothes, shoes, children’s games, puzzles and toys, hygiene products, household necessities, food, pet food — and even cash donations ❤️

Today, we had the privilege of getting all of those donations where they can start doing some good. The clothing and household items were dropped off at U-City U-Haul, where they’ll be sorted and distributed, and the food, pet food and hygiene items went to Partners INW.

Looking at Scott and our shop foreman, Thomas, standing in front of our Silver Star sign surrounded by everything YOU donated is pretty incredible.

Cars may be what brought a lot of us together, but this community is about so much more than cars.

To Car Craze Events, everyone who came out Sunday, everyone who donated, and everyone working behind the scenes to help our neighbors through an incredibly difficult time — thank you.

We are so proud and so thankful to be surrounded by people who don’t hesitate to show up when their community needs them.

Spokane, you showed up. ❤️

From all of us at Silver Star Automotive — thank you. 🖤🤍

To Our Spokane Community ❤️

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the fires.

We hope our customers, friends, neighbors, and first responders are staying safe.

If your family has been impacted and there’s a way we can help, please reach out. While we can’t solve everything, we’ll do our best.

We’re happy to help with things like:
• A safe place to park a vehicle
• A cool place to take a break in our air-conditioned lobby
• Charging phones or other devices
• Wi-Fi access
• A cup of coffee or cold water
• Or simply connecting you with local resources if we can

If you need something that isn’t listed, send us a message. We’ll do everything we can to help.

🌅 Rolling out of Mercedes Monday…

There aren’t many things better than a summer evening drive—especially in a classic 1976 Mercedes-Benz SL.

Here’s to sunny skies, open roads, and making memories that last a lifetime.

We hope your week is off to a great start! If your Mercedes (classic or modern) is due for a little TLC, our team is here to help keep it ready for every adventure.

📞 Give us a call or send us a text at 509-835-5334 to schedule your next service.

Have a great week, everyone! 🚗✨

🚗 Mercedes Monday 💡

Did you know Mercedes-Benz helped change vehicle safety forever?

In 1959, Mercedes engineer Béla Barényi helped develop the crumple zone—a design that allows parts of the vehicle to absorb crash energy while helping protect passengers inside.

Here’s the cool part…

Mercedes didn’t aggressively protect the idea to keep it exclusive. They allowed other manufacturers to use the technology because they believed safety should benefit everyone, not just Mercedes drivers.

Today, crumple zones are used across the automotive industry and have helped save countless lives.

That’s pretty incredible if you ask us.

Innovation. Engineering. Safety.

It’s been part of the Mercedes story for a long time.
