The first picture shows the absolute carnage left behind by a seized, rusted idler pulley. It completely shredded the drive belt, turning it into a massive bird's nest of rubber and wire. This is exactly why regular PMs are so critical—catching a worn bearing early saves your unit from going down hard on the road.

Getting this Thermo King back in action wasn't just a quick belt swap. In picture two you can see us tearing into the drive assembly, the compressor pulled out of the way so we can add a new belt, bushings, and clear out the debris.

The final image shows the wider view of the compressor bay as we get everything realigned, tensioned, and ready to drop temps again. Notice the TRS mark on the alternator—we always make sure our components are marked so you know what was changed and when! 🥶

Blowing bubbles isn't just for kids! 🫧 Sometimes the old-school soap test is exactly what you need to track down a pesky refrigerant leak.

We found the exact spot this compressor was losing pressure. Chilton's tip of the day: Don't wait for a complete breakdown. If your re**er unit is struggling to hold temp, it might just be a leak waiting to be found! 🦸‍♂️🔧 Time to get this sealed up, recharged, and back on the road.

A leak that could have been prevented! ⚠️❄️

We’ve been seeing a massive wave of storage containers out in the field lately, including this 2008 Daikin. It’s a solid machine, but it recently went down hard.

The culprit? A cracked copper line leaking out its refrigerant.

The real issue? It was completely avoidable.
This failure was the direct result of an unsecure line. In this industry, vibration takes a heavy toll on copper lines. Without routine inspections and proper mounting, a minor friction point, or a loose line easily turns into a blown charge and compromised cargo.

Our techs were out in the snow getting this line repaired, leak-checked, and recharged. Don't wait for a breakdown to give your container units the preventive maintenance they need!
