Sometimes people ask me about the ink stampings that get added back to restored carburetors. Most questions pertain to the process involved in determining which stampings belong on which carburetor, etc. The answer is a bit complicated but the most important ingredient is research and documentation of original stampings that are discovered over time while examining original unmolested customer carburetors that arrive for restoration. This is a good example, a scarce Thermoquad for a 1974 360 with manual transmission. All of the remaining original ink stampings and markings were located and documented before tear down so that they can be properly replaced when completed. I'll post follow up photos when the restoration is completed.
