Trading something in? You do not need to detail it first.

Bring it the way you normally drive it. A little dirt isn’t going to hide what an appraisal looks at—and there are a few things that are much more useful to have with you:

🔑 All your keys & key fobs
📄 Current registration
📑 Title, if you have it
💰 Loan/payoff information, if applicable

Still making payments and don’t have the title? That’s completely normal.

One more tip: take your personal belongings out—especially anything you wouldn’t want to accidentally leave behind if you decide to trade it that day.

Knowing a few things ahead of time can make the whole process a lot easier.

You found the right vehicle and you’re ready to make it yours. The last thing you want is to realize you left something important at home.

Here are a few things that are good to have with you:

✅ Driver’s license
✅ Current insurance information
✅ Trade registration/title or payoff information, if applicable
✅ Proof of income/residence, if requested by the lender
✅ Down-payment method, if applicable
✅ Co-buyer and their information, if applicable

Don’t have everything with you? Don’t panic.

Every purchase is a little different, and lender requirements can vary. If you’re coming in to see me, just ask beforehand and I’ll let you know exactly what you should bring.
