Big machines aren't just for big bends! Our Trumpf TruBend 1320 press brake works great on pieces of all shapes and sizes -- even ones small enough to fit in your hand!

We made over 100 of these custom brackets for a job a few months ago. Our Trumpf TruLaser 1040 laser cutter cut out the individual pieces from 1/4" sheet metal, and our press brake did the rest! We had the entire order out the door and en route to the client within just a few hours of starting the job.

We had a 900-piece laser cutting order come through today, and our Trumpf TruLaser hammered the entire thing out in less than two hours -- and using only three sheets of material!

The nesting engine on this thing is a beast. Most of these pieces were oblique, with rounded edges and thousands of holes that needed to be punched. And our laser cut all 900 pieces in 1 hour and 44 minutes -- less than 7 seconds per piece! We received the order this morning, and got it cut out and sent to forming the very same day.

Check out our Trumpf TruBend 1320 in action! We were able to turn around Tuesday's 168-part order so quickly that the client put in an order for 198 more pieces!

Because the TruBend saves the bend angles and sequences from previous jobs to its memory, we were able to reload those settings and get to work as soon as the order came in. 3 bends per 131 x 18.5" sheet — two 150s on the edges and a 130 down the middle.

Our Trumpf TruLaser 1040 is fully installed and ready to roll!

We started production work as soon as testing was finished, and now it's cutting through 1/4" aluminum at speeds up to 990 inches per minute. Keep an eye on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages -- this is going to be a VERY busy machine for SDSMA!

We've been putting our Trumpf TruBend 1320 press brake to work! Finished up an order for 168 of these 131" x 18.5" pieces today — couldn't even fit them all on one pallet. Each sheet required two 150° bends along the edges and a 130° bend down the middle. That's 504 bends in total!

Having a CNC press brake like ours meant we only had to configure those bend angles once. After that, it was as easy as loading the metal and hitting the foot pedal, and our guys were able knock out all 504 of those bends in no time at all.

BIG week for our fab shop! Our BRAND NEW Trumpf TruLaser 1040 laser cutter arrived safe and sound. It has a 12kW laser, a 6' x 13' bed, programmable automation, and can cut through material up to 1.25" thick. There's still a little bit of setup and calibration left to go, but she'll be firing on all cylinders and slicing some metal by next week.
