“The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world”—
Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all who are moms, were moms, and act in the place of moms. We apologize for not posting yesterday but it was a day celebrating those same people in our lives. We notice and appreciate all you do in the lives of your children and those who are not your children. Without the “hands” of women across the nation, the world would be a much rougher place for our children. (A big thank you to the dads who play both roles as well! You also deserve to be recognized.)

We are looking for feedback: We updated our phone system to allow calls to be transferred and it have a couple other perks for us when attempting to schedule. However, Amanda had to call the shop the other day and stated she couldn’t hear us well and it stopped ringing before she heard the greeting from the office manager. We are wondering if this was/is a glitch that day or if this is something you all are experiencing when you call as well. If you have called to schedule an appointment within the last couple of months, have you experienced this issue?

Thankful to all our customers that trust us to haul and pickup for them outside Alleghany. These services often have to occur after hours and many of you are very patient with us and work with our schedules. We truly do have the best customers a small, locally owned business could ask for!

We will be leaving early today after all customers have made arrangements for pickup. We appreciate all of you who have worked with us while we have worked sick. We believe and hope all will be back to normal on Monday. We are all tired but feeling but feeling better than we were. Thank you all for your kindness and understanding this week!

This week: to avoid exposing our clients to Flu A, we will be locking the doors to the shop and asking all customers to put your keys in the drop box for appointments. Since we have a full week scheduled, we feel it is unfair to close the shop unless it is absolutely necessary. Customers can call and pay over the phone or leave a check in the drop box. If you would like to reschedule your appointment, you can text back to the appointment reminder text and we will get you rescheduled. Our office assistant has been placed on leave until Thursday and three employees are now running fevers and feeling bad as well. We simply want to keep everyone safe and healthy. We appreciate each of you and your patience as we work through this. If you call and get no response, please call back as the guys may be working on a vehicle when you call.

We have put in a request to update our phones. This has caused a temporary issue with our phones this evening. If you call and do not get an answer and need immediate assistance or have a question about your vehicle, please text us using the phone number that sent you a notification about your appointment. Keep in mind that number is a text only line. We cannot answer calls to that number but we can respond to any texts.

We have closed a little early this evening for diagnostic training in Boone to ensure we remain up-to-date to continue to serve our customers to the best of our abilities. We will return tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.

Air Compressor installed. Business as usual! Thank you all for your patience and understanding! You truly are the best!

We will be closed tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 2, until we can replace our air compressor. We are attempting to do this now but could not get one in time. The place we purchased the one we currently have did not open until about an hour ago and has told us they do not have one in stock. Due to the weather, we cannot get anywhere else to get another one until tomorrow. We will be reaching out to our customers with appointments and apologize for any inconvenience. This air compressor runs the heat, the two big lifts, and the tire machines. We will post as soon as it is replaced and we can get everyone back in and are hoping for midday tomorrow.
