A recent fire has left several homes impacted and 5 homes in the Sierra Sol Mobile Home Community uninhabitable. For many of our neighbors—some living on fixed incomes—this means losing the place they call home and so much more.

We’re coming together as a community to help them rebuild, recover, and know they are NOT alone. 💜

We hear you… with space rent it seems like manufactured home prices are equivalent to traditional homes but it’s not entirely the case.

Let's break it down. Say a manufactured home costs $150,000 and the space rent is $800/month. Even after adding the space rent to your mortgage, taxes, and insurance, your total monthly housing cost may still be lower than buying a traditional home in the same area because the purchase price is much lower.

For many buyers, the biggest hurdle is affording the home itself. A $150,000 manufactured home can be much more attainable than a $400,000-$500,000 site-built home.

While space rent is an ongoing expense, it can still be the more affordable path to homeownership depending on your budget and local housing prices.
