If your engine oil is low, is it okay to top it off with whatever type of oil you have on hand?

Answer: 🟡 It depends!

The best choice is always to add the same oil viscosity and specification recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer (check your owner's manual or the oil cap under the hood).

If you're in an emergency and your oil level is dangerously low, adding a compatible engine oil is generally better than driving with too little oil. Low oil can cause serious engine damage in just a short amount of time.

⚠️ However, mixing different viscosities or oil types (such as conventional and synthetic) isn't ideal for long-term use. Once you can, have the oil changed and filled with the correct oil recommended for your vehicle.

🚗 Tip: If your oil keeps getting low between oil changes, don't just keep topping it off. It could be a sign of an oil leak or excessive oil consumption, and it's worth having it inspected.

Believe it or not... the tire rotation usually didn't cause the problem—it exposed it.

When tires are moved from the back to the front, issues that were hiding in the rear suddenly become impossible to ignore.

The culprit could be:
