Calling the sewing, quilting, and vintage clothing community! 🧵 Jana and I are digging through another haul, and we need your eyes on these little outfits. The details have us wondering about their story.

Do you recognize a pattern, fabric, or style? What would you check to tell whether a piece is handmade—and how old it might be?

Tell us what you spot and which piece you’d pull out first! Follow Timber & Tarnish for more hauls, unusual finds, and the stories hiding in them.

When “Flashdance” comes on in the furniture shop 😂💃

A little furniture refinishing, a little dancing, and another day with Spencer & Jana at Timber & Tarnish. Bringing vintage furniture back to life is more fun with a good soundtrack. 😂

Who else turns the music up while they work?

If there’s one thing I have learned about life it’s that everything is constantly evolving. Check out how the exact same space transformed over just a few years…an now it’s gone. Every piece came into my space at the perfect moment, and every piece ended up in the perfect place. And not one bit of it is at the location you see here😁.

A whole new perspective on walking down the isle… what could possibly go wrong? 😂🎨 Which color would you choose for your next furniture makeover?

Occasionally we get to use our creativity and make statement pieces for individuals, businesses, or events. This 1963 Volkswagen door was the perfect gift for Jerry. A professional car builder and the only person I know who is crazy enough to put a Porsche 911 engine in a 63 Beetle. I found the correct door, primed it, painted it and worked hard on getting the perfect patina before adding the backlit steel logo for his company Half Bad Hot Rods. Let me know what you think. Cool wall hanging? Or garbage? 😁.

My ADHD sees potential in every vintage find. My OCD has opinions about every detail. 😂

That’s life at Timber & Tarnish: estate sale finds, furniture refinishing, reselling, and custom builds. Here’s a quick look at where some of those ideas have taken us.

Which project caught your eye—and does your brain work like this too?

Did I make the right decision? 👀

Instead of fully restoring this old piece, I cleaned it up, oiled the wood, and preserved the wear, patina, and character that told its story.

It sold on Etsy shortly after.

Would you have restored it further… or left it just like this?
