100% charged is not automatically 100% correct.

One of the easiest winter battery mistakes is assuming every lithium-ion battery should be fully charged before storage. Different battery systems have different requirements. Some manufacturers recommend storing certain batteries partially charged, while others recommend a full charge for extended storage.

There is no universal percentage that works for every battery.

Before you store yours for months, check the instructions for that specific battery.

The best winter prep starts with knowing what you actually own.
