Atokadssc The new Atokad Park is a planned horse racing facility currently being built on the grounds of the historic Atokad Downs in South Sioux City, NE.

The 5/8 mile track, built in 1956 with grandstands for 2600 spectators and barns that housed 500 horses, was host to continual racing until it closed in 2012.

Gates open at noon for the first day of Atokad’s 2026 Live Meet, with Post Time at 1:30pm! Four races a day with wagering, family-friendly activities, traditional Winnebago dancers, contests, giveaways, plenty of food and beverage options, and FREE admission for attendees. Stop by at 4500 G Street in South Sioux to enjoy some live Thoroughbred racing in Siouxland!

Traditional Winnebago dancers will perform in between races this Saturday, August 29th and on Monday, September 7th during Atokad's 2026 Live Meet! Post time is 1:30pm this Saturday with FREE admission for attendees, so come out and enjoy live racing in South Sioux City! 🐎

It's live racing time in South Sioux City! Atokad's 2026 Live Meet is on for Saturday and Sunday, August 29-30 and Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 5-7 at 4500 G Street in South Sioux. Gates open at noon, with Post Time at 1:30pm. There will be four races each day with wagering. Admission is FREE!
