Hello everyone, today we bring you the testimony of Elia Garcia, a courageous and fighting single mother...
My name is Elia Garcia, I have been a single mother for 4 years. I must say that my children are the engine that God uses to keep me on my feet, they are also the instruments He uses to teach me great lessons and bring me closer to Him when I need it.
As a family we spend more time out of the house than in it, due to my daily commute to work, we leave very early and return at night, fortunately the job I have now which is an answer to my desperate prayers has allowed me to provide a better life for my children and Eve my mother and sisters. My job is a 35 mile commute, this has been a growing experience, I can say that I am not the same driver I was 4 years ago, I have learned to be more patient and to be closer to the word of God.
Lately, it has been a little more challenging because I have had to juggle different things at the same time, being the only one here in Houston, no support from family because they don't live here or from friends because they also have responsibilities. I was diagnosed with diabetes in December of last year, also with high blood pressure and cholesterol at only 36 years old, after this diagnosis I got COVID and my 4 year old son had to have emergency surgery because his tonsils and adenoids got so big that he couldn't breathe, fortunately we are both doing well now, although my medical situation is still inconclusive.
And then came the car problems .... oh my poor car, we have been through so many adventures and not intentionally π
, it has made us safe when in Houston it has not stopped raining and flooding, definitely my car is a fighter, until the winter storm came, the fluids in my car froze (I did not know it) I had to drive to buy groceries and the next day the engine shut down, fortunately I had some savings and I could recover it on July 4th, but this time the air conditioning compressor did not work, neither the catalytic converters. And that's how the most important tool of my job stopped working as the engine failed again.
What can I say? Well, I have learned to ask what for instead of why, on every occasion I have seen my Lord's hand on me and my children, I have learned to ask for help instead of keeping everything to myself, I am intentionally making more happy memories with my children, taking one day at a time with the Lord by my side.
I would like to thank you so much for taking an interest in helping my family, the work you and your fellow supporters do has an incredible impact on the lives of the people you touch, my Heavenly Father continue to shower you with many blessings and all you need to continue your ministry forward ππΌ.
Help us help Elia, she really needs our help to be able to continue providing stability to her family. We receive your donations with much love and gratitude.
