Here we have this rare '06 Silverado equipped with the 4.8L, 4x4, 5-Speed MG5 manual transmission.

Starting with the 4.8L, we've done a complete cam kit with Brian Tooley Racing Truck Norris camshaft complete with their valvetrain products such as pushrods, valve springs, and trunion kit. Paired with increased air flow from the ported 243 heads, fueling became a concern.

To give the owner some headroom for fuel delivery, we've installed the newer 50lb/hrs injectors from the Gen 4 platform ('07-'13). Because we've experience inconsistent problems from the use of EV1 to EV6 connector adapters, we've always chosen to solder the EV6 connectors instead. Providing a solid connection with a brand new connector to the injectors. Should the owner decide to install a bigger intake manifold + throttle body, they will still have sufficient amount of fueling to account for the increased air flow.

The transmission itself doesn't receive any modifications except for a simple fluid change. The Flywheel + Clutch combo is a direct OE replacement and works fine for this application.

The front brakes receive a overhaul with new caliper, rotors, pads, and brake hoses. The rear was originally equipped with drum brakes, but thanks to Little Shop MFG with their rear disk brake conversion products, we were able to retain the parking brake function.

Lastly, the differential still retained its 3.23 gear ratio, but was equipped with Eaton Performance Products Truetrac posi unit. Allowing both rear wheels to be driven equally and provide a much better driving experience for cornering and drifting applications.

Here this returning 2004 Chevrolet Silverado comes in for our Radiator/Fans package.

The package not only overhauls the appearance of cooling system, but also provides superior cooling for the lifetime of the truck! No matter the engine build, this package is able to withstand any heat-generating power-adders such as a supercharger, turbocharger, or centrifugal charger.

The fans do still function like factory. Once the engine reaches operating temp, one fan will kick on at roughly 180°F. If the engine temperature reaches to 200°F, the 2nd fan will engage and keep the temps nominal.

This kit also deletes the faded OE reservoir and in its place, is the fabricated reservoir for this kit. Retaining its position as the highest point of the coolant system which makes bleeding easy and straight forward. With the free space of the deleted OE reservoir, it leaves room for those who plan ahead for a turbo, wheel tubs, cleaning up the engine bay, etc.

Lastly for this particular truck, the customer wanted us to overhaul the transmission cooler lines with clean, tied down AN lines. Completely eliminating the risk of the rubber hose slipping off the OE hardline.

Here we have this 2018 GMC Sierra that was originally equipped with a V6.

The customer brought us their truck along with many goodies they wanted to install into their 6.2L. We then provided any missing parts required to get the job done.

Starting with the 6.2L, the customer brought us a Texas Speed & Performance LT1 Stage 2 TSP Cam (227/242 .646"/.631" 112 LSA). We sent the cylinder heads off to get machined and inspected before reassembling the 6.2 with a complete cam kit.

The transmission itself received a Circle D Specialties billet, 3600 stall, multi-disk torque converter along with a transmission cooler to combat the heat generated by the converter.

Finally, the customer received our full exhaust package. Complete with a set of Speed Engineering longtube headers, y-pipe, and Corsa Performance 3" muffler.

Wrapping it up with a tune, the truck's characteristics have drastically changed. Snappy, responsive, and dialed in for a superior street driving experience.

Overall, the truck not only looks good with it's lowered stance, Denali front-end, and big wheels, but now has the power to back it up.

Here we have this 2023 Chevy Silverado equipped with a 5.3L, 10-speed transmission, and few minor upgrades.

Starting with the tune, these trucks are a little more sophisticated than older gen GM Trucks/SUVs. Depending what transmission your truck/SUV is equipped with, both the ECM and TCM needs to be unlocked to be configurable. Since these newer year models are still fairly new, prices are high to get the unlock service done. From there, we'll still need to purchase credits to unlock the software access to begin the tuning process. Now, some can get away with tuning only the ECM. However, not tuning the TCM does limit overall performance and responsiveness.

We encourage folks to reach out us (DM, phone call/text) if you're looking into having your 2019+ GM Truck/SUV tuned. We'll be happy to help and offer quotes!

When it comes to engine modifications not much is done other than the usual starting point that all modified trucks begin. The cold air intake and exhaust systems. The intake itself is a S&B product that was previously installed by the customer.

What we focused on however, was the exhaust system. we installed a set of longtube headers and completed the rest of the exhaust with the usual y-pipe + Magnaflow Straight Through Muffler combo. Maximizing exhaust air flow to cram even more fresh air into the combustion chamber.

With the new goodies installed and a tune to maximize gains, the truck comes to life with increased responsiveness, presence, and no Check Engine Light. Meaning Remote Start can still function like factory!

Here this 2011 GMC Sierra came in for a cam kit that works well for anybody wanting to hotrod their GM Truck/SUV while also tackling the DoD/AFM issue.

Starting with the camshaft itself, this customer received a Brian Tooley Racing Truck Norris camshaft + valvetrain components. The Truck Norris cam is a great choice due to real performance gains without requiring supporting mods that more aggressive camshaft profile demands such as bigger fuel injectors, aftermarket torque converter, and bigger throttle body. With the BTR valvetrain, we're also able to raise the RPM limit which the cam itself still provides a smooth, linear powerband up to about ~7,100 RPMs. With this set-up, the customer can enjoy the aggressive, choppy idle and increased performance without compromising drivability for daily driving.

For the exhaust system, we've gone with Speed Engineering long tube headers, y-pipe with Borla Performance S-Type Muffler 3". With a bit of flair, we've recommended dual tips behind the tire. Matching the rest of the truck with its black and chrome appearance.

Other things we've done to this particular Sierra off-camera were a few simple repairs such as engine mounts, heater hoses, water pump, sensors, intake manifold gaskets, and transmission lines.

08/31/2026

This returning 2011 Chevy Silverado came to us after experiencing a fuel pump failure. The previous service only being a simple street tune.

With stutters and hesitation from the engine, we've gone over the truck to diagnose the issue by looking over the fuel delivery system.

The original fuel bucket had been heavily modified with the bucket springs completely removed. Meaning the bottom of fuel pump bucket wasn't pressing firmly against the bottom of the tank to keep it sturdy and secure, but instead floppy and unsecured. Being thrown around by the g-forces of driving.

After discussing our findings with the owner, we've decided to overhaul the fuel delivery system for futureproofing when the owner decide to take their build further with an aftermarket intake manifold, throttle body, etc.

Sourcing another complete fuel pump bucket, we've made accommodating modifications to it. With DeatschWerks DW420 series fuel pump with power going through Leash Electronics' high output relay module to avoid utilizing the OE wiring. Which could be burned up by the higher amperage fuel pump.

To further protect the fuel injectors, we've also thrown in DeatschWerks DWF110 10 micron filter in line as the AN lines work their way toward the fuel regulator. Since the owner still retained the factory intake manifold, we also installed a quick-disconnect to AN fitting to adapt the OE lines to AN lines.

Now that the fuel system has been overhauled, we were required to retune the truck. The owner can simply throw on a new aftermarket intake manifold and install a new AN line from the regulator to the aftermarket fuel rails.

Here we have this 2019 Silverado that originally came in for a simple AFM/DoD delete. However, after discussing the owner with other services, they've decided to pull the trigger to get some extra goodies with their AFM/DoD Delete.

Starting with the 5.3L, the owner explained to us it was simply his daily, so we knew the truck itself would simply see more work use rather than performance. Perfect for moderate gains as well as drivability, the Brian Tooley Racing truck norris cam was a perfect choice. Packaging the entire deal with BTR's valvetrain from the lifters up to the trunion kit, and everything in between.

Although the owner had already previous installed a aFe cold air intake kit, the exhaust system was still bone stock. To give the truck a bit of rumble and presence to accentuate it's new choppy idle, we've gone with the Speed Engineering Gen V Longtube headers, y-pipe paired with MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust straight through muffler. Simple, affordable, and livable for day-to-day activities.

The tune not only dials in the truck's Air/Fuel Ratio, but also makes the truck's overall responsiveness to the driver's input refined. Faster and optimized for any driving conditions. The TCM shift points and torque management have been adjusted to better suit the increased power from the 5.3L.

08/18/2026

This 2002 Chevrolet Silverado arrived appearing as a parts truck. Mechnically bumper-to-bumper, all the components shown are brand new. The 5.3L was sourced and built with Brian Tooley Racing LS1/2 Stage 3 NA Cam, valvetrain components from the sprocket to the rocker arm trunions and everything in between. Supporting mods include bigger FAST - Fuel Air Spark Tech Big Mouth Throttle Body with a custom 4" Intake Pipe. For the fuel system, we've followed a similar path that we've done on previous builds with the Holley Performance billet external fuel pump with DeatschWerks 10 and 100 micron fuel filters along with their fuel regulator. The exhaust system is a true-dual exhaust that utilizes the MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust x-pipe muffler combo with a set of Speed Engineering long tube headers. Letting the 5.3L accentuate its choppy idle.

The transmission was rebuilt with all kinds of goodies. To start, we've paired the 5.3L with a Circle D Specialties 3400 stall torque converter with their flexplate to bolt up to. To combat the heat, we've also installed a trans cooler to keep those temps low along with AN lines and fittings to prevent any hose failure. To take the abuse that the cammed 5.3L will dish out, we've upgraded the transmission with high energy clutches along with a shift kit to withstand the stress being applied. Transferring the power to wheels, we've installed a 2-piece driveshaft due to the longer frame construction as well as reliability when it comes to how low and long the truck sits.

The Differential receives a Eaton truetrac posi unit with a gear ratio of 3.73. Allowing the truck to apply power to the wheels evenly on the ground instead of the traditional open differential that these trucks come equipped with. Allowing the truck to coast on the highways in lower RPMs, but still allow the driver to accelerate rapidly when necessary. Furthermore, we've installed Calvert Racing Suspensions caltracs along with new leaf springs with their aluminum bushings for increased responsiveness on the rear-end.

Lastly, some quality of life mods include a set of AEM Electronics gauges that will give the customer a read out of their transmission temperature, fuel pressure, and wideband readings.

Here we have a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali equipped with the 6.2L, 8L90 powertrain.
Receiving the first few upgrades that all truck owners can easily achieve!

To wake up the 6.2L without opening the block, we've done a full exhaust set-up to increase airflow as well as add more of a rumble in its presence. The MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust Straight-Through Muffler has always been a favorite amongst our customers due to its nature of keeping audio levels civil and tamed when cruising, but loud enough when giving it the beans!

As for the intake, we've gone with the K&N Filters Series 50 Cold Air Intake (Dryflow). A simple, easy to install intake kit designed around the truck's stock intake manifold + throttle body. As the owner plans to upgrade their intake manifold later in the future, we've decided that a performance proven, off-the-shelf intake oughta do the trick.

Tuning the truck was the final step to maximize the potential power output thanks to the new parts. Both the ECM and TCM has been tuned and refined. Not only increasing mileage on day-to-day driving, but also waking up the truck from it's lack-of-confidence behavior that all GM truck/SUVs tend to have. Not only does the engine sound snappy and responsive even without an aftermarket converter, but the TCM shift points have also been adjusted to accommodate any driving situation the owner would find themselves in.

Today, we have this 2007 Classic Chevy Silverado that has been equipped with plenty of goodies all around, front to back.

We start off with the powerplant. The crate 5.3L receives a moderately aggressive cam, BrianTooleyRacing's Stage 2 LS1/LS2 cam (221/24x .624"/.636" 112 LSA), a set of our ported cylinder heads (Cathedral port). To protect the engine, we've thrown on our dual catch-can to keep the oil free of any contaminants such as water and fuel.

The transmission itself receives a 3600 stall, multi-disk Circle D torque converter to raise the RPM closer to peak power for faster acceleration. Throwing in a trans-cooler along with it in order to combat the heat that is generated with higher rated stall torque converters.

Lastly, the differential receives an entire rebuild with a new gear ratio. Settling with 4.10 ratio, we've installed the new pinion with fresh races and bearings all around, including the posi unit itself. This will help lock up both wheels under load. This, of course, means the truck has the capability to slide around corners, leave 11s on tarmac, and increase acceleration thanks to the ratio as well as both wheels now able to drive the truck forward evenly.

During tuning, we did see vacuum being left in the intake manifold. This suggests the OE intake system is now bottlenecking the rest of the engine's capabilities. Not enough air is traveling into the combustion chamber due to the small throttle body, and stock intake manifold. The entire engine is essentially breathing through a tiny straw.

However, the customer intends to bring the truck back for those later down the road along with other services we offer. For now, this is the result of transforming an old work truck into a true, Texan-built street truck.
