Aspen Ridge RV has been a part of the South Fork and Upper Rio Grande community for many years. We’re proud to provide an inviting environment for guests, family, and friends to come together and enjoy each other’s company surrounded by the pristine beauty of the Rio Grande National Forest and the Weminuche Wilderness. Whether you’re here to hunker down and enjoy community around the campfire or just need a place to rest your head before hitting the trails, we’re your campground. We’re just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Rio Grande and not much further than that from all the amenities and comforts that South Fork provides. We love unwinding after a long day of adventure over a game of dominoes with our guests and sharing our favorite recipes with folks during our potlucks, and we always say the more, the merrier. We hope that everyone who drives up a visitor packs up feeling like part of the family.

The weather has definitely changed!

The overnight rain finally broke this morning, revealing a snowy San Luis beneath patches of blue sky. ❄️ Clouds were still drifting between the dark cliffs of Willow Creek and those bright white slopes in the distance. This shot was too good to pass up—you can follow the ridges back through the frame and really appreciate how much country lies between here and that high ground.

Winter is coming, you guys, and I’m still standing by my prediction of a bonanza snow season here in southern Colorado! El Niño is strengthening, and I’m hopeful about what this winter could bring. That’s my personal prediction, though—big snowfall still depends on moisture, cold air, and the storm track lining up over our mountains. This morning certainly gave us a beautiful preview. 😉

For now, we’re enjoying that brief overlap of fall in the valleys and winter on the peaks. Thankful for another morning above ground and the chance to share the view with you guys. ❤️ Let’s have a beautiful Tuesday!
