Transmission fluid is doing five jobs at once β lubricating moving parts, cooling the transmission, cleaning internal components, protecting metal surfaces, and actually transmitting hydraulic power to shift gears. Over time, the fluid breaks down, becomes contaminated, and loses its ability to do any of those things well. Dirty fluid is one of the leading causes of premature transmission failure. Most manufacturers recommend a flush every 30,000β60,000 miles β but many drivers skip it entirely. π§
Not sure when yours was last flushed? Stop in or give us a call β it could save you thousands down the road.
