Our Su***de Awareness Ride brought riders, families, friends, and members of our community together for something much bigger than motorcycles.
Su***de affects far too many families, including right here in Vermont. Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply reach out, listen, and remind someone that they do not have to face a difficult moment alone.
If you are struggling, or you are worried about someone you care about, help is available:
đź“ž Call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Trained counselors are available 24/7, free and confidential.
📱 Text VT to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line.
🚨 If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
đź’™ The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention Vermont Chapter also provides education, support, prevention programs, and resources for people who have lost someone to su***de.
And remember: it is okay to ask someone directly, “Are you thinking about su***de?” Asking the question does not put the idea in someone’s head. Listening without judgment and helping them connect with support can save a life.
