Help Desk Analyst



Job Summary:

The IT Help Desk Analyst will provide first and second-line technical support to internal staff. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and will require an aptitude for working with both Windows and Mac applications/systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of staff problems, which may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues. The director will assign other ongoing projects. Coverage includes Lakeside School and Lakeside Girls Academy and remote users at other offices.



Role and Responsibilities:

Act as a point of contact for IT help requests and queries
Receive, log, and manage calls using the Help Desk portal
1st and 2nd line support/troubleshooting of IT-related problems/systems, including software and hardware owned and operated by Lakeside.
Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support requests and adhere to service management principles.
Escalate unresolved requests to the infrastructure support team
Arrange for external technical support when issues can’t be resolved in-house
Maintain an asset database and track changes
Troubleshoot basic network issues such as wireless connectivity
Troubleshoot/manage user problems and provide timely follow-up
Create support documentation to assist staff
Provide basic in-house training to users based on departmental priorities set by the supervisor
Provide status reports at the request of the supervisor
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Proven work experience in providing Help Desk support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong customer service orientation
Intricate knowledge of Mac and Windows Operating Systems and administration thereof
Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications; Basic knowledge of Office 365 and/or Exchange
BS or Associates Computer Degree preferred
A+ or ITIL certifications not required but helpful
Must possess a valid US driver’s license
Must pass the Child Safety and Criminal Background Checks

There will be an additional $15 fee charged for any vehicle scheduled for a state inspection that does not have a current registration, AND a current insurance card visible and on the seat.
