The Sierra Professional Association meets weekly to encourage business development through networking and resources. Membership opportunities are available.

Areas of focus include: marketing & business development strategies; qualified referrals; skill development; networking. The Sierra Professional Association was chartered in 1990 as a means to promote local business opportunities and growth through networking. The organization was built on two strategic and timeless principles: (1) direct and indirect leads, which remains one of the best forms of advertising; and (2) shared expertise and support among business professionals. The Sierra Professional Association is pleased to announce Guest Speaker - Shana Wren, Owner and Director of Maynord’s Recovery Center in Sonora. She will speak on Painless Giving.

Please join us on Tuesday, September 15th from 7:00 to 8:00 am at the My Garden Café in Sonora.

Shana has spent decades believing that giving back to the community does not have to be complicated. Through her work in addiction at Maynord's Recovery Center, she and her family have devoted nearly 50 years to helping people find a way forward. But her commitment to the community reaches far beyond her professional work. She has a long history of quietly showing up; it started as a child with a penny carnival. It is grown into creating opportunities for connection, and finding little ways to give hope, and a sense of belonging to others.

She will teach us how to think out of the box when it comes to giving.

You do not have to have a lot to give - it simply has to be genuine. Give because you can give because someone needs it.

For Shana, community is not something you join - it is something you participate in.
