What a crazy heat wave folks! Be very careful out there in the heat wherever you may be. We are experiencing a slow down in production due to this hard heat. I have an A/C unit in my shop in Somerville but even that unit is huffing and puffing to produce cold air. Was lucky to have a customer who had an extra unit. Please be patient with us as we work to get your projects completed as quickly as we can. Updates will be coming to this page as we complete these boat projects currently in progress. We appreciate everyone's patience with us as we also continue to prepare our new shop in Hartselle and have another location for our customers to be able to have more access to Puccinis Upholstery. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have used Puccini's Upholstery for their auto and marine interior needs. I appreciate each and everyone of you who support my business here in Somerville. Since taking on another location in Hartselle we have been stretched a little thin and are doing our best to serve everyone in all the surrounding areas. Our somerville location will remain open for business and our new Hartselle location is slowly being turned up for business. Our upholstery business is always looking for an apprentice who wants to learn an art form and a trade that can generate great income depending on how serious you want to get about doing Auto and all other manner of Upholstery work. Sadly though, no one seems to want to learn a new trade or potentially start a new career. I get it. This is not for the light hearted individual for sure. I can do only so much as one individual. Case in point, we are currently working on a big boat project that went a little sideways on us. This is why I am making the decision to limit boat upholstery work in the future until I can get more staff in place to deal with the demand. Boat interior work and carpet work is very detailed and difficult work. I took in a project that I should never have taken on and now I am paying a price for that decision. Never take on boat work late in the season because that can lead to disaster for everyone involved. I made the horrible mistake of taking on a boat project that was extremely challenging and questionable at best. I quoted a ridiculous price and will now lose a great deal of money and time because I tried to be too competitive when there was no need to do that. This bad decision is now impacting my business in a negative way that I will never ever allow again moving forward. I apologize to all those customers that are now waiting for their projects to be completed and who have been impacted by this recent decision. I am only one person who can do the work of many but still am only one person doing all the work. I am almost done with this bad boat project and will be resuming work on several other projects currently in our pipeline. Thank you so much to all of you customers who have been so patient with us so far and ask everyone to please be patient with us here at Puccini's Upholstery as we attempt to manage two locations now. God has been Great to us and I hope and pray he continues to bless this business. I am doing my level best to continue to provide the highest quality level of service and product that I can. Hello community, the summer is in full swing and so is the weather. Be very careful our there on the wet roads as you go to school or work or both. Be very mindful of the water on the roads that can cause a lot of problems including hydroplaning. I wanted to take this quick opportunity to announce that I have taken on another upholstery shop location right off of hwy 36 in hartselle. Many of you may have known a Mr. Curtis Slaten or Slaten Upholstery on 40 Tapscott road right off of hwy 36 before Reeves family farm if you are heading into hartselle on 36. If you are coming from downtown hartselle Tapscott road is just after Reeves family farm. As many of you know Curtis Slaten passed away around two months ago. I worked with Curtis in his shop briefly back in 2019 helping him out with upholstery work. Since his death I have worked with his Daughter Lori Slaten to rent out Curtis's old shop on 40 Tapscott road. Pictures coming soon! So, Puccinis upholstery will now be operating in two locations for now until I can eventually begin operating out of the new shop regularly. My existing shop in Somerville is still in operation and will remain open to serve all of our customers on the east side of hwy 67 at hwy36. Our hartselle location will serve all of our customers coming from the hartselle and decatur areas. I want to make it as convenient as possible for everyone who needs auto and marine upholstery to be able to reach me 😀👍as conveniently as possible. Please bare with me as we ramp up operations at our new location. Because I cannot be in two places at the same time (for now) I am bouncing between both locations. I am super excited and am feeling very blessed to have found this new location which has two garages and larger shop area. Some folks are stopping by the 40 Tapscott road location and finding a notice on the door with my business card. I am asking everyone to please call us at Puccini's Upholstery @256-808-2724 before you head out to either our somerville or hartselle locations so I can prepare to be at whatever location you would like to visit for your upholstery work. Or, you can message me here on Facebook if that helps and we can setup or arrange a time to meet with you to look at your vehicles and boats. We are also beginning to offer some basic auto detailing services and will expand those detailing services as the summer moves forward. Eventually we will be offering full auto detail services with detail packages to fit every auto or custom auto needs. I already provide complimentary services like basic interior cleaning and vaccum of your carpets and interiors. I also encourage all my customers who have had previous headliner and upholstery work done to please leave your feedback on my Puccini's Upholstery page so everyone can see what we are doing for our friends in the community. This recent expansion into a second facility or shop was not planned per say but kind of presented itself to me and I decided to act on this and move forward with this new facility because I was basically made an offer I could not refuse. Lori Slaten has been an absolute angel and has been very pleasant to work with. I was originally considering expanding my somerville location itself with another building but since this opportunity presented itself I prayed and pray everyday and thank God for this golden opportunity. I do not know what the future holds but am super excited to have a full size shop to work with and this will allow me to ultimately provide even better services for everyone! So, thank you Lori Slaten for this rare opportunity to take Puccini's Upholstery to the next level. There are some growing pains but I can't express how blessed I feel at this time. Again I ask all my customers and future customers to be patient with me as we continue to ramp up our operations in both locations. I am looking for an apprentice and could absolutely use some help as I grow this business. Puccini's upholstery is working on expanding our operations very soon. We will keep our customers updated as we get closer to realizing this much needed expansion for this operation.

Looking at new location in Hartselle just north of Reeves Family Farm. This is an existing facility that also was run as an upholstery shop. More details to come.
