From building his first engine at just 18 years old to driving it to prom before turning 19, this is what passion and determination look like. With only a little help from his dad on the rings, crank clearance, and custom exhaust, nearly every aspect of this build was completed by him. He even learned to TIG weld so he could modify the headers himself.

The heart of the build is an LQ9 6.0 backed by a 4L80E and controlled by the Jackpot 2 . The combination also features a TSP BFD cam, LS7 lifters, TSP dual valve springs, trunnion upgrade, titanium retainers, fresh rings and bearings, Michigan Motorsports flywheel, 3600+ stall converter, LS3 water pump, Mahle head gaskets, decked 64cc heads, TSP pushrods, and more.

Our R&D teams have been working behind the scenes over the past several months on exciting new features, including major improvements to the base calibration data across all Aces EFI systems.

As part of our testing and validation process, we dyno-test our firmware across multiple systems and engine applications. With up to six hours of dyno testing each day, proper ventilation is essential. We’re grateful to have a high-quality Fumavent exhaust extraction system helping keep the air in our R&D facility clean while our team works.

This is Kurt Kauffman's 1953 Willy's with a 5.3 powered by the Jackpot 2. This truck is an absolutely insane build!
